The Syracuse University Board of Trustees is considering revoking the honorary degree given to Rudy Giuliani, the Daily Orange reported Tuesday.
SU Chancellor Kent Syverud told the Syracuse University Student Association on Monday that he brought the topic up with the school’s board of trustees, according to the report. In April, the University Senate passed a resolution, introduced by the Student Association, urging the revocation of Giuliani’s honorary degree.
Syverud said the board debated the issue and asked him to research how peer institutions revoke honorary degrees, according to the Daily Orange. Syverud said he hoped the full board would vote on the issue in November. …

When 9/11 had New Yorkers shaken and frightened, Rudy Giuliani provided strength and confidence to them.
Screw Syracuse if they can’t honor that.
My personal opinion: Some on this board may differ from my opinion, but I think for the sake of diversity, equity, and inclusion, all of academia should immediately revoke all honorary degrees awarded to and held by any and all Republicans, Trump voters and supporters, libertarians, and conservatives. That's just my opinion with which some folks may disagree, but I definitely side with Syracuse University on this matter.

They have nothing else better to do. How about concentrate on education for once so maybe your students will be employable.
The entire education system is broke. That is from kindergarten to advance degrees. The vast majority of what is being taught is utter garbage. The solution is the same for k-12 and universities. MAGA needs to take over school boards and boards of trustees. Give these commies a democracy suppository.
It sucks, but you need to contact your alma mater and let them know where you are so you get to vote for board of trustees members. Do the research to vote appropriately. You may even run for a position. We should urge our conservative representatives to run for board of trustee positions. They all graduated from somewhere and they have a built-in political base to vote for them when running for board of trustees positions. Ideally, this would be done quickly so the leftists don’t see it coming.
If I were Rudi, I would hand-delivery the damned thing to them in person with a gaggle of cameras behind me.

Revoke all of your contributions to the Universities. As a graduate of the University of Texas, I had contributed for years since I constantly got requests to do so. I then I realized “Why the hell do they need my money when they are sitting on a 50 billion dollar endowment that rivals Harvard as the largest in the world? I appreciate the fact that I graduated from there, but I EARNED it - it was not ‘given to me’.
It’s worth at least the number of SU credits needed to achieve it. Does that mean, though, that he can’t call himself Dr. Giuliani now. Wait, he has a JD; never mind.
