We already have a strict gun law - Amendment II.
That’s because that’s what the lying toads in the “media” keep telling them to say. It’s getting disgusting to talk to idiots about politics anymore. As soon as they open their mouth they start regurgitating crap they heard on TV word for word. Not one original thought of their own.
It’s just a way for them to say they want Minority Urban Youth Control without coming off like racists.
If properly worded, a poll can reflect the desired outcome of the pollster.
Tis is a BS poll.
Well, nobody wants THEIR rights taken from them, but them other guys over there do. Those shady mofos don’t need no guns.
The problem is, most every and anyone is a shady mofo to someone else...
The wiser person knows that except for the grace of God, you could the other person. This is what Jesus meant when he said “Love thy neighbor” and then answered who thy neighbor is with the story of the Samaritan helping the robbed and beaten man.
Anything justified to be used against another can eventually be used against you.
The truly smartest know that we all have the same rights... Those rights have to be universal or each one of us have no rights.
Gun control is being able to hit your target. I want more control so I can tighten the group in my target.
AP is the worst. They are worse than CNN and MSNBC because they are much more widespread. Almost everything from local news to Yahoo is from AP. They really are an arm of leftists bent on destroying this country. The so called journalists that AP employs come from the finest leftist journalism schools.
They don’t bother rigging the polls anymore. They just report phony results. It’s all about setting us up for another big steal. Why not? It worked like a charm last time.
Yup, I want to live in a world where only criminals and politicians have guns, but then I repeat myself.
YAWN - It’s AP; don’t expect reality here.
What are you waiting for, Demonrat Stalinazis ? Give up your guns (and that also means give up your security that carries guns, too). Fair is fair.
There are lots of good reasons to believe this poll is BS but that doesn’t really matter. There was certainly a time in this country when most Americans would have wanted limitations on Blacks, Jews or Mormons. The will of the majority in a republic is immaterial to the constitutional rights of a minority.
I’d be curious to see if many of the people surveyed would be able to name the three functional types of firearms and distinguish between them, be also able to distinguish from single shot and semi automatic and fully automatic types of firearms, give a brief sketch of municipal and state and federal firearms laws in their jurisdiction, etc. You would probably find ignorance of many things pertaining to this issue is their only excuse for supporting stricter gun control laws.
“AP-NORC Poll: Most in US want stricter gun laws [barf]”
Why don’t the do the poll based on county? I’m sure 83% of the counties in the country would disagree with wanting stricter gun laws.
Reminds me of gun control initiative 676 in the state of Washington that was on the ballot in 1997.
The polls showed the voters in favor of it. The gun control people crowed about the polling results, only for it to go down in defeat at the ballot box.
“With about a month before the Nov. 4 election, supporters of the gun safety initiative in Washington were optimistic. Their polls showed 62 percent support for the measure, Initiative 676, which required trigger-locking devices on all handguns sold in the state and handgun safety licenses.
But voters rejected the initiative by 697,000 votes — 71 percent to 29 percent.”

From the same bunch...
Note the involvement of Pearson in the above.
They out numbered the guards 100/1 but did nothing because most people care about one thing and one thing only.. themselves.. not enough of them were willing to charge the guards and possibly die to save others.
Gun control (and climate change) proponents know this and that’s why they’re looking at ways to get around those pesky voters.
Look up “environmental, social, and corporate governance” scoring. That’s what’s coming.
And fifty two years ago these same groups were claiming that “Most people wanted registration of all firearms, and a ban on handguns!
Yet when actually put to a vote of the people the anti-gun radicals always lose.
They never cease.
🐂💩 Perhaps amongst respondents to the query. It’s almost like they don’t care what the fly over folks say.
