The young woman allegedly gets her hair done and just as the appointment is about to finish, she asks the hairdresser to quickly dip out to pay her parking meter, leaving the establishments in the cape and hair clips to make it believable.
Her latest scam hit Base Salon in the West Loop, which is owned by Rojas, on Friday. The young woman reportedly had a five-hour appointment to get her hair colored, tallying a bill upward of $1,200.
CBS Chicago were able to track the woman down - but she said she was unable to comment on the advice of her lawyer.
'Yes, [it's a] pretty high-end service,' Rojas told CBS News. 'I feel like people oftentimes think they can take advantage of small businesses.'
Rojas would later find out that the woman did the same thing her friend, Caputo, after finding her on social media.
She managed to match the suspected woman in the TikTok to the video she had taken in her salon that day.
The alleged scammer had posted a TikTok video of her wearing a cape from Salon 833, owned by Caputo, in River West.
'She did the same thing to us [in May],' Caputo told CBS News. 'Toward the end of her service — her color was finished completely, started to blow dry – that's when the client asked if she could go pay her meter.'
She said it 'financially' hurt her business.
A third salon has also reportedly canceled the woman's upcoming appointment after finding out about her ruse online, CBS News claimed

Trash.
If someone is working on your face and hair, you pay the bill and tip BIG.
Do they give these women a happy ending or something? I get a haircut for $15 bucks.
She’s the hair...
Apparent.
She wigged out.
Skipped out.
Sounds like a felony.

Wow. And I thought I was being overcharged when my barber Mr. Luigi upped his haircut price to $10.
Mr. Luigi takes about 20 minutes total. So, wait.
$10 x 3 x 5 = $150. I guess I’m getting a bargain here.
I think we may have a clue!
Her lawyer charges her $1,200 an hour
up front
yeah but do you get to keep the cute cape and clips ???
“The woman” remains unnamed through this article, but they do have some good photos of her. Whoever operates a salon in that zip code, Curler Beware!
Some people get a sick thrill cheating people as much as they can possibly get away with. Something made her this way, or she may just be a rotten person who has always used people.
braids, right ?
1200 bucks for hair coloring? Who is scamming who?
I think that’s called a ‘doo-and-run’ in the biz.
She’s white, but her eyes look Asian. Strange looking girl.
But wait! They’re getting their hair done by “Rojas” or “Caputo”…it gives them the ability to name drop and feel important. I’ll stick with my $12 cut by “Sean” at “The Barber Shop”.
I haven’t paid for a haircut in 35 years. It’s good to be bald
Hah. Wait'll a few of those armed 87,000 IRS sgents show up to audit your small business (which Joe Biden said they wouldn't do). The lost $1200 will seem like a drop in the bucket.
Who'd you vote for in 2020, Ms Rojas?
Why are you sneering at the business owner? Perhaps the thief had a mani-pedi, a facial, a massage, a cut and style, and a deep conditioning as well as the multi-tone coloring with foils. And she took up space for 5 hours getting it done.
To quote Dolly Parton, it costs a lot of money to look that cheap.
It appears she has done this before; so I doubt it’s a one-off case of getting an unexpected, exorbitant bill.
