Courtney Love is giving her support to Johnny Depp amid the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star's ongoing legal drama with ex-wife Amber Heard - saying he once saved her life by performing CPR when she overdosed at a nightclub.
In the video, which she shared to her Instagram page, Love also offers some sympathy to Heard in saying she was also once 'the most hated woman in the world.'
Love, 57, posted a series of videos on May 21 about how Depp once came to her rescue outside of his Viper Room nightclub in 1995 - just one year after her husband, the legendary Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, took his own life.
Depp apparently administered CPR after Love passed out. She said in her video: 'I don’t really wanna make judgments publicly, but I just want to tell you that Johnny gave me CPR in 1995 when I overdosed outside The Viper Room with Sal.'
Love spoke about the incident in a 2006 interview with The Guardian in which said that she was across from The Viper Room in a limo when she was 'off [her] f-----g head' when she decided to go into the club.
After entering The Viper Room, Love said that she passed out. When she came to Love said Depp was there while adding: 'And apparently someone was giving my CPR.'
At the time, Love's daughter with Cobain, Frances Bean, was three years old.
Love told The Guardian in 2006: 'I have nothing bad to say about Johnny Depp, never. I think he's very smart, he's a brilliant actor and he once saved my life.'

Wow, that is crazy. We never know what's happening behind closed doors.
Depp seems to be the type who throws things around, breaks things, etc., when he loses his temper, whereas Heard gets physically aggressive with people.
I have to correct my last post: Heard actually isn't the only woman Depp married. He was married briefly to another woman in the 1980's before his acting career took off.
He never married Vanessa Paradis, who is the mother of his children, even though they were together for 14 years. But, he married Heard.
I saw The woman in the toxic relationship I spoke about around 5 years ago. And she told me that when she left my friend, she went out and married a Muslim man who forced her to go to the middle east with her, and really abused her badly- (if she said it was bad, i have to think it must have been really bad as she said it was worse than her relstionship with my friend)
she didn’t take much of it from him though I guess, and left him
They both were alcoholics, and drug abusers. My friend came from a very hostile, family situation too, but he decided to carry on the abuse he received and vent it towards his ex.
Some real sad cases outmthere for sure. Especially, for women mostly- ive known a couple who,had to leave and seek refuge in safe houses for battered women. In one case the husband went looking for,her armed, and ended up getting arrested when he threatened a friend of hers with the gun. The fella worked for a religious organization too, but had a load of demons he was dealing with, and unfortunately his uglier traits got the better of him. He is now under psychiatric care. He was an old druggie who got saved in prison, came out and really tried and did well for awhile, but he gave in to his baser ugly traits unfortunately. Fortunately, the wife escaped, and is doing well now, but he really sucked the life out of her while, they were married. She did regain her bubbly personality though, but it too, some time
There are so many bad marriages out there, no wonder people want to stay single. Marriage is a lifelong commitment, but divorce is necessary if one spouse turns out to be dangerous in any way, including adultery.
agreed- not to mention society as a whole has become much much more angry and self centered- so divorces are common today-
Just for fun!
