Courtney Love is giving her support to Johnny Depp amid the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star's ongoing legal drama with ex-wife Amber Heard - saying he once saved her life by performing CPR when she overdosed at a nightclub.
In the video, which she shared to her Instagram page, Love also offers some sympathy to Heard in saying she was also once 'the most hated woman in the world.'
Love, 57, posted a series of videos on May 21 about how Depp once came to her rescue outside of his Viper Room nightclub in 1995 - just one year after her husband, the legendary Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, took his own life.
Depp apparently administered CPR after Love passed out. She said in her video: 'I don’t really wanna make judgments publicly, but I just want to tell you that Johnny gave me CPR in 1995 when I overdosed outside The Viper Room with Sal.'
Love spoke about the incident in a 2006 interview with The Guardian in which said that she was across from The Viper Room in a limo when she was 'off [her] f-----g head' when she decided to go into the club.
After entering The Viper Room, Love said that she passed out. When she came to Love said Depp was there while adding: 'And apparently someone was giving my CPR.'
At the time, Love's daughter with Cobain, Frances Bean, was three years old.
Love told The Guardian in 2006: 'I have nothing bad to say about Johnny Depp, never. I think he's very smart, he's a brilliant actor and he once saved my life.'

It’s close to us, and until now, the VR is still the it place IMO. Easier parking than say, the Strip. 3 blocks away was GNR’s original apartment which they trashed, and still standing today.

Probably she sympathizes with Amber Heard is because there are a lot of fans who insist she killed Kurt Cobain, and is a murderer. Especially, when that movie, Soaked In Bleach, came out seven years ago.

where did you hear depp is soulless? Everyone that knows him says just the opposite- he donates a ton of his time and money to helping sick children in hospitals and end of care treatment centers etc- he truly loves working with hte kids- you can see it in how he treats the kids-

He can’t be all bad. I mean, thanks to him Courtney Love is still among us, despite her attempt not to be. So, he has that going for him. And besides, he did not defecate in the bed.
Her videos sound different than the title. While she says there needs to be less bullying, she hopes justice is served because it’s wrong to use a movement for selfish motives.
Then he later sent a limo for her daughter and her friends to see ‘pirates’ with reserved seating.

I actually like Courtney Love. As she gets older she seems more level-headed, and avoids the spotlight. There are some fans of Nirvana who really believe she killed her husband.
I always preferred Keanu Reeves to Depp. I’ve watched a lot of the trial on playback and he and Heard are both seriously toxic and damaged people who imbibed on heavy drug use.
So he helped save one woman and ruined another poor girl’s life? Yeah, real swell Johnny.

Not a Johnny Depp fan, but from most of the articles I’ve seen in passing, Amber Heard is a manipulative psycho that has been busted in multiple lies.
She also promised to donate her $7M divorce settlement to charity two years ago and is still sitting on the money.
Depp has been in several long term relationships over his life and never once was accused of being an abuser...until this gal. Several of his previous loves testified on his behalf; they are famous themselves and certainly didn’t do it for the money.
