I agree with Eagles6. Both Heard and Depp are examples of Hollywood ego and excess. They both come across as terrible in this court case.
I don’t believe Heard’s claims, either, but Depp’s fans make excuses for everything he does: He gave one of his kids a joint. He’s on video slamming and breaking things while angry. He said terrible things about the ex he left for Heard, even though that ex spoke out in his defense.
Like most people, he can be a very nice person, but he also can be a jerk.

Well,I just don’t think being pushed to anger and lashing out at objects makes someone soulless. We don’t k ow what he had to go through, and vice versa, we don’t k ow what she put up with either, but it appears at this point t she is kinda whackdoodle and very controlling and manipulative. So,i,woild Lea. Towards him having to,had put up with a lot with her. He apparently has never been physically abusive to women, but himself was abused evidently by his mom, and possibly amber too. If so we just don’t know the extent he has had to put up with. On the other hand he may have been mentsl,y abusive towards her for no reason too, but it seems unlikely at this point. He certainly could have handled it better, but until,one has tk,endure abuse (if he did endure it himself) it’s easy to judge and say we woild never react in similar manner. She seemed to get very angry when he woild do things “without her permission”, which woiod,indicate a very controlling nature. I don’t know, as I didn’t have to live with her, but if she is anything like a friends ex wife, who went through hell, I personally wouldn’t judge Depp too harshly especially if he never assaulted her. Verbal abuse can be just as bad too, but we don’t know how long he had to put up with her abuse, or the extent of it, and it possible,he jusy snapped and things got ugly.
People can only take just so much until they feel they have to “hit back in self defense” figuratively speaking, not physically, but verbslly). I e known some women to treat their husband’s like total crap in front of others, and I’ve known husbands to do,the same to,their wives. Nasty vicious verbal,fights, degrading and ridiculing their spouse in front of everyone, constantly. You jusy gotta veel.for the one who is taking th3 brunt of it, and aren’t too surprised if you hear they broke down after years of abuse and began fighting back verbally at some point.
I don’t think either one of them are soulless- i just thunk that they are incompatible for each other, and after years of abuse they both begsn lashing out at each other verbally. If they both found spouses who they were compatible with, they might be totally different people. I’m just ths kful,that I haven’t had to put up with what he has had to apparently put up with- his drinking and drugs has become a problem for sure, but maybe this will be a wakeup call.
I have not watched any of this trial but tuned into it right now. The cross examination of this guy that acts like the Dr on Back to the Future (and whose hair is sticking up in a weird way)...is a hoot. I have a laughed out loud several times.
Unbelievable he used the Pirates movies to help with his opinion about Depp’s cognitive state and when he was asked if he watched Willy Wonka the Dr did this crazy fish mouth thing.

I don’t know all the details about this case. But, as I said above, my impression is that Heard’s story isn’t credible. AFAIK, we know Heard hit Depp (in her own words), whereas we don’t know whether he ever hit her.
Nevertheless, Depp is not Mr. Wonderful.
Depp was with a woman for many years, and they were raising their children together. Then he had a midlife crisis and left her for Heard. That ex has spoken out in his defense, and she’s said glowing things about him. When he met Heard, he was a bored middle-aged man suddenly in an “exciting” relationship with a much younger woman. He’s the jealous, possessive type. She’s the manipulative psycho type. But, of all his relationships, she’s the only one he married. He seemed thrilled with her.
Many years ago, I used to participate on a forum where we counseled women in domestic violence situations. All those situations fit a pattern. Those women blamed themselves for everything and made excuses for everything their husbands/boyfriends did.
But, there’s another type of situation that’s very different: Once, on that forum, a woman came on and explained that she and her husband were addicted to fighting with each other and making up later. We told her she was on the wrong forum. She apologized and left. But, that’s the type of “relationship” I believe Depp and Heard had. JMHO.

I had friends like that- every few weeks, one or the other would have serious wounds- once the woman hit the fella in the mouth with a phone, and ripped his lip pretty bad- they made yup- an kept on for awhile- they eventually did separate- but wow-
I have my doubts that johnny hit amber though- He supposedly grew up in a situation where his mother abused him- according to the sister and scant testimony by depp- he didn’t want to malign her in testimony- but they pressed him for details- I do think though that he was verbally abusive- probably driven to it though- another friend i have had a wife much like her- it was a nightmare for the fella- he too took to drinking to escape the abuse she dished out- they eventualy divorced- but remembering back- she had a personality much like amber’s- the fella though was very mellow- at least when we were around- who knows what happened in private-
