I bought a house across the street from two Indian doctors. The apparently had known each other since medical school. They built houses there at the same time and had a large parallel driveway area with joint parking so they could have huge parties.
But they are old and Chandu retired to Orlando. A new Indian family moved in, of a lower caste. The remaining doctor, Ashod, immediately bought a bunch of parking lot concrete bumpers to go all the way down driveway to stop the joint parking.
After a year or so, I asked Ashod how he liked his new neighbors. He said he had never spoken to them.
Hard to believe how strong their caste system is, even here in the States.
I cannot tell you how many HR complaints our company has gotten from Indians against other Indians.
