A case of pneumonia led one man to “hear God” after tripping on antibiotics in a rare case of antibiomania, a state of psychosis from taking the common remedy.
A recently published case study appearing in the journal BMC Psychiatry reported symptoms of a 50-year-old man with a bacterial infection of the respiratory illness, requiring antibiotics to treat.
However, the man who had never before ingested an antibiotic in his life soon discovered he is one of the few people in the world who experience psychedelic hallucinations thanks to conventional antibiotics. The report described the man as having mood swings, feeling irritable and beginning to believe he was dying and hearing voices that were not there.

I have an old record player upstairs that will play at 78, 45, 33, AND 16 RPM.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 16 RPM record.

IIRC 16rpm it was used for recording voice but not music, and the invention of tape recording made it antiquated.
While having an allergy attack, I once took a really strong antihistamine. When that didn’t work, I popped a different really strong antihistamine.
Wow, those two really interacted. I was very close to hallucinations to the point where my wife almost took me to the hospital.

When I was very young I played my parents 16 2/3 ‘s on their console which also entertained me with broadcasts from all over the world.
