So I'm on this debate on Twitter.
Here, fellow FReepers is the God's honest truth.
I am 53 years old. I'm not a recluse. I have family, friends, co-workers, all over the United States. I'm socially active.
I do not know a single person who has died from Covid. I do not know a single person who has been hospitalized with Covid. I have not once received a phone call that someone I know has died from this.
I DO KNOW several people who have gotten Covid, all have recovered. Most said it felt like a weird cold. One friend of mine said it kicked his ass. None of them went to the hospital with it. All have been fine.
I read about hospitals overwhelmed with patients on life support, dying.
Seriously, am I living some strange sheltered existence where this disease doesn't exist?
They said the mid 90s woman in church who had a stroke died FROM kung flu. Aside from her no one.
I doubt you’re “alone”, but I know quite a few people who died from.Covid. All older except one who was immunocompromised from cancer treatments.

I lost a friend at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, before they knew how to properly treat patients. He had type 2 diabetes and the beginning of kidney failure. His was a great loss to many people.
I’m sorry for your loss. Seems like it’s really hit hard those who had other issues, sometimes that issue was nothing more than being elderly.
No don’t know anyone. Weird since supposedly ten times the number of people who died in the Vietnam War have died of this thing. Having lived through Vietnam makes me very skeptical of these statistics.
As I’ve posted here before, I worked all of 2020 in a job with between 2,500 - 3000 coworkers who were all “frontline workers” (in a position of high public exposure in a densely populated city with a high homeless population) and during that time, I knew neither of a single hospitalization nor death among my coworkers, the homeless, nor personal friends. Supposedly ONE coworker died in 2021 from it, but who knows what really killed that person.
Yet we have the occasional poster here that comes out of no where and claims that they know loads of people killed by it. Bah.

I have a neighbor from down the street....older gal, probably early 60s, who passed away from it. However, if you went down contributing factors....she was obese...extremely unfit, and was a candidate for a heart-attack already. Plus double-jabbed already....so it didn’t matter.

Yep. it is a deadly combination.
I know 3 people who died from Covid 19-one was about 45-no comorbidity-just couldn’t get ahead of it-kept building in him-but I know thousands of people from years of coaching sports teams

Lockdowns? Masks? Forfeit liberty? For virus that is 99.7% survivable by all but the unlucky, the morbidly obese, and those with comorbidities.

Almost had an uncle die for the shot. Only people I know who even got covid were all vaxxed. None died

maybe better question is how many people do you know who have recovered after having it and how? I know dozens who have had it and survived it-all ages including the 88 year old priest who married us years ago

but I did know a number of families contacted about being positive even though they werent tested. I would assume that by now that they have gotten letters to tell them that they have died. Would that count?

I think its a huge scam. They had to print pics of full ER’s and try and pass it off as now and from the US.
Plenty of people went into hospitals and took video from inside, showing nothing going on. The hospital in my city had a mostly empty parking lot. Nurses so bored they made dancing videos.
They lied about how many died from covid. They blamed all deaths on it.
Counties here and countries are scaling back the numbers of who really died from covid.
And yet the hospital ship that was to deal with the “overflow” had 3 people on it
Hospitals are full of dying people, so the nurses make dancing videos?
