So I'm on this debate on Twitter.
Here, fellow FReepers is the God's honest truth.
I am 53 years old. I'm not a recluse. I have family, friends, co-workers, all over the United States. I'm socially active.
I do not know a single person who has died from Covid. I do not know a single person who has been hospitalized with Covid. I have not once received a phone call that someone I know has died from this.
I DO KNOW several people who have gotten Covid, all have recovered. Most said it felt like a weird cold. One friend of mine said it kicked his ass. None of them went to the hospital with it. All have been fine.
I read about hospitals overwhelmed with patients on life support, dying.
Seriously, am I living some strange sheltered existence where this disease doesn't exist?
I know one who died and two who went into the hospital with Covid. On the other hand we know three people who died within 2 weeks of vaccination. Purely anecdotal but has led us to question the official narrative.
And now an in law just diagnosed today after starting to not feel well at dinner last night. Guess who sat next to him at the table? I dreaded this day for the last two years. And I am unvaccinated. Because I’m a stubborn idiot.
My husband was very ill, doctor discussed putting him on a vent, we had heard bad things and declined, they put him on a bipap with a warning that he would have to be vented if it was not successful. It encouraged him to put up with the discomfort of the bipap.

Nope.
And any are second hand reports. Not first hand witnesses.
I know of 3 people that died in the last two years:
One died due to a car accident (T-boned by a driver going 75MPH in a 40MPH zone...)
One died of complications of COPD (81 years old)
One died of brain cancer
None of them died of covid.
I don’t know anyone personally who has died. Just acquaintances in a large town. I know probably 100 people who have had it. Nothing more than cold symptoms. Loss of smell and taste for a while.
we know a number of folks who died from covid- one fella dang near died just recently- in hospital for 45 days, and is now in rehab- He was a health man- walked daily- hard worker=- no health issues- for some reason covid really smacked him hard- The docs finally tried some type of medicine on him and he almost immediately recovered- Trying to find out what that med was right now-
The fella my brother worked for died from covid- alone wife couldn’t even visit him- he was not well though- had a distant relative die- 45 years old- but he too i think had health issues- or so we’re told-
another woman had it- gotta check and see how she is doing- she had health issues-
another fella had it- no health issues- survived it, but is weak now- ( maybe his lungs got damaged?)
My uncle and his whole family came down with it- He is in his 70’s, wife too- she got real sick, he hardly even knew he had it- their kids got it, and their kid’s children got it- they all survived it fine-
Several folks in town have had it- a couple have died- i didn’t’ know them personally- so no idea if they were sick with other conditions or not-
1: 2
2: 0
3: 2 (By pedestrian i assume someone walking getting hit? My cousin was one- drunk driver hit him)
4: 1 (motorcycle accident)
5: too many to recall all of them-
That is because the get fresh air and sunshine unlike the lock downs.
Right...you get what I am driving at there?
1) uncle of an in-law- fully vaccinated, in his late 60’s, died after contracting covid virus. Not sure of other co-morbidities.
2) mother of an in-law- unvaccinated, mid 80’s, died of complications from stroke after diagnosed with covid virus.
3) neighbor of relative, late 50’s, unvaccinated, died after contracting covid virus. Had survived lung cancer within the last 5 years, so lungs were probably compromised to some extent.
Yep- but i just wish i didn’t know anyone who got hit with car- miss my cousin- that one hit really close to home- shook me up terrible- they caught the kid who did it- but still- that didn’t help much-
There's thinking out there with POS early COVID...BiPaps are frowned upon.
But Hi Flow devises like VAPOTHERM machines...seemed to work better with some patients.
I understand what you are going thru....
This virus is unpredictable as to what the treatment will be and the outcome.
I've seen folks losing their ability to move some of their limbs....And it's not because they've been bedbound to long....the Virus has affected their ability to move like they used to. Neurological effects...

You might want to see what I have posted.........FWIW
I’ve never known a single soul who has been to the hospital or died from Covid. Am I alone?,,,,,
I don’t know anyone who’s died or been hospitalized either. My wife and I had it (+test +for antibody) and recovered at home. Nephews son and daughter tested + but are asymptomatic. He tests -.
My brother got shingles activated from the shot.
That’s about it.
