The Coachella Music Festival is pulling the plug on their original plan to enforce mandatory vaccines for ticketholders when it returns in 2022.
The fest, which makes its comeback to Indio, California April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022 after missing 2020 and 2021, will not require concertgoers to have the jab.
The festival's official Instagram page made the announcement, saying that the decision was based on recent COVID statistics.
'After seeing first-hand the low transmission data and successful implementation of safety protocols at our other festivals this past month, we feel confident we can update our health policy,' they said in a statement.
This goes back on an announcement made by festival owner AEG in August that there'd need to be vaccinations for everyone who bought a ticket.

Serious question: Why do only the unvaccinated need a negative test? The vaccinated can spread COVID as easily as an unvaccinated and are being hospitalized and are dying of the disease in greater percentages everyday?

This event is immune like the Lollapaloza festival in Chicongo this year. Not to be confused with the super spreader Sturgis rally where the dead bikers can be seen from space…

I met this big Biker Dude who had a space at the Swap meet, He seemed a nice guy for a scary Hell’s Angel type until he started going on about how great Trump was and how he was going to Sturgis the very next week while swearing about the fake covid BS.

Hopefully by April it won’t even be an issue. They are doing this big push to vaccinate a few holdouts with mandates, threats, coercion etc when there is a good chance this virus will be mostly gone in few months anyway.
Sure numbers are still high but trending good. Anecdotally we see these mass crowds have been gathering for events, and few stories of spread occurring at any of them.
More like a low-rent art community. It’s near the Salton Sea in the desert. A tourist attraction with people selling or showing their art pieces.
