House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) put out a statement on Monday applauding the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer Americans who she says have “put their lives on the line for our freedom” by serving in the military since the founding of our nation. […]
“Since our nation’s Founding, LGBTQ Americans have bravely put their lives on the line for our freedom—yet for too long have been denied the dignity and respect they deserve,” Pelosi said.
“After Democrats proudly threw ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ into the dustbin of history in 2011, the Trump Administration cruelly revived the same forces of fear and hatred four years ago with its ban on transgender men and women from the armed forces,” she said. …

I didn’t see a list of names.
I’m sure that some ‘gay’ men have fought in our wars; but Nanzi wouldn’t know their names because they didn’t wear it on their sleeves - and I doubt that she’s very versed in history, much less in the biographies of very obscure people in American history.
That is true. I work for the USN and back in the early nineties; one of my sailor friends said that there probably have been people like than in the service since there has been a military. It is just up until recently, they just haven’t been stupid enough to admit it.
Hmmm...
My Dad never mentioned any of them being with the Marines on Guadalcanal, New Britain, Peleliu, or Okinawa...
He probably just didn’t notice...
Also, I never noticed any Marine LGBTQs in Korea in 1951 & 1952...
Probably because I went to the wrong parties...

Great point!
Hmm 🤔. Cross dressers and confederates poking each other in the rectum was happening during the Civil War. I appreciate the history lesson from Nanzi. Who’da thunk it?
Nancy is begging for votes again
Jumps from 1778 right to 1917. Interesting.
The Good Lord may be pulling the plug on America soon. The demons are in a frenzy and have willing accomplices to do their evil needs in our country and around the world. Today is the day of Salvation . . . . no one is guaranteed a tomorrow. Jesus has already won the Victory!
But Klinger wasn’t LGBTQWERTY, he just dressed that way for a section 8 psycho discharge.
“Considering that the navy cooped up thousands of young men for months on end without access to women, it is surprising how few homosexual incidents resulted in prosecution. When one looks through the massive leather-bound volumes in the Public Record Office that contain the summaries of naval courts-martial, one rarely finds case of ‘unnatural crimes’ among the multitude of other offenses.”

“Penalty of committing Buggery or Sodomy. XXIX. If any Person in the Fleet shall commit the unnatural and detestable Sin of Buggery or Sodomy with Man or Beast, he shall be punished with Death by the Sentence of a Court-martial.”
Good Lord, these people are pathetic.
I wish she would name them all!
Why doesn't she identify those "freedom-fighters" at our nation's founding by name?
Regards,
So much for “rum, sodomy and the lash” . . . more like for pirates.
Ol’ girl’s dippin’ into the chardonnay a little early it seems.

And forward too!

I agree with Nancy.
Weirdos have always existed, and some of them even fought for our new nation.
No huge revelation here. The key is, however, that the weirdos are still weirdos.
Precisely.
It used to be "The Love That Dares Not Speak It's Name".
Now, it won't shut the **** up.
In the Navy 🎶🎵🎶...
Practically everybody knew the gays in the military but nobody made a big deal out of it.
