A woman who was suspicious her online boyfriend of a year was Catfish because he never FaceTimed her.
Esther, 21, a fashion student from Nottingham appeared on MTV's Catfish UK last night, after her best friend Anita contacted the show with suspicious about Theo, who met Esther on Instagram.
Theo and Esther talk multiple times a day but have never FaceTimed or met in person, with Theo saying he can't meet because he's on business in Nigeria and ducking his girlfriend's calls.
'But he's always in a meeting, whenever I try to video-call he doesn't pick up. We were on the phone once and I tried to switch it to a FaceTime and he hung up.'
Esther explained she was head over heels for Theo, and that like her he was from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, but also lived in the UK.
Explaining her suspicions to hosts Oobah Butler and Julie Adenuga, Esther said: 'We've been speaking for about a year. He never fails to send me a good morning or good evening message.
'I find that so sweet. He's so thoughtful, he calls me Princess. I love it. I think he could be the one.
Despite the hosts saying Theo showed all the signs of a classic catfish, Esther was delighted to discover Theo was who he said he is but had kept it secret that he was a Prince because he wanted Esther to get to know him for him.

A catfish is someone who seduces a person with a false identity online.
Thanks for the information. I dis not know that.
Western society is doomed.
Wait a minute...they're from the same tribe but she didn't know he was a PRINCE?? How many princes does a tribe have, anyway?
“Nigerian Prince”. Sure if you say so.”
It’s true. Every man in Nigeria is a prince.
I’m still surprised that there are still people foolish enough to fall for online “relationships”. It’s sad that so many people can be so desperately lonely.
😁
The Yoruba people (Yoruba: Ọmọ Káàárọ̀-oòjíire[13][14][15]) are an ethnic group that inhabits western Africa, mainly the countries of Nigeria, Benin, and Togo.
The Yoruba constitute around 35 million people in Africa. The vast majority of the Yoruba population is from Nigeria, where the Yoruba make up 15.5% of the country’s population,[16] making them one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa.

Not the Bee? LOL
“Wedding Bells or what ever they ring in Nigeria”
They ring something similar to the dinner gong.
I laughed through that whole movie.
Well, since you put it that way....
Same with Trading Places!😀
If true, it never ceases to amaze me he how gullible women are. One cannot help but wonder if the sissification of men in the western world has led western women to be attracted to what they perceive to be masculine men.
It has been for a long time.
