Three Texas Democrats who fled the Lone Star state in a private jet in order to block election integrity bills have now tested positive for COVID- 19.
The news was confirmed by the Texas House Democratic Caucus leadership on Saturday - five days after the left-wing lawmakers packed onto the private aircraft without face masks as they snapped selfies intended to taunt their political rivals.
Since that time, the Texas Democrats have been staying at a plush hotel in Washington, DC and have been out and about in the community. The group even met with Vice President Kamala Harris during a closed-door meeting near the Capitol on Tuesday.
Many of the Democrats have publicly professed the importance of masking up, but it seems they are privately not so keen on using the use of face coverings. The Austin American Statesman claims that the group has only used masks 'sparingly' 'as they held meetings around the city' this week.
Officials have not released the names of the three Democrats who have contracted the coronavirus. They have now been forced to self-isolate for at least 10 days.
The outbreak was discovered on Friday, when one of the lawmakers tested positive for COVID after taking a rapid test.
Others were subsequently tested on Saturday morning, with two more found to be positive. One of them is said to be experiencing 'mild' symptoms.
All three of the infected officials are fully vaccinated.

(a) When vacancies occur in either House, the Governor, or the person exercising the power of the Governor, shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies; and should the Governor fail to issue a writ of election to fill any such vacancy within twenty days after it occurs, the returning officer of the district in which such vacancy may have happened, shall be authorized to order an election for that purpose.
(b) The legislature may provide by general law for the filling of a vacancy in the legislature without an election if only one person qualifies and declares a candidacy in an election to fill the vacancy.

The Texas Senate bill would allow voting from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. – an increase of three hours on weekdays and 10 hours on Sundays – and would lower the population threshold from 100,000 to 30,000 for counties to open the polling booths for at least 12 hours in the week before Election Day.
I’m wondering if it’s all made up so that they don’t have to come back to Texas for quite a while. Like three weeks from now. Never trust what comes out of the mouth of your enemies.

Probably BS. They are likely just trying to keep from being arrested when they try coming back into Texas.
Remember, Pelosi dictates that everyone in the House still has to wear a mask unless they are fully vaccinated. Wonder how many of those Dumb Dems from Texas were fully vaccinated.
