Both boys shot at Danny Andrew Smith with a rifle as he rode his tractor in the field near Westminster on June 23
Smith, 62, was shot once in the back, but investigators charged both boys because they both fired the gun in Smith's direction
The boys have been charged with involuntary manslaughter as juveniles in Family Court and their names were not released
Under South Carolina law, they are too young to be kept at a juvenile jail so they were released to their parents
Deputies have the .22 caliber rifle used to kill Smith but investigators are not releasing how the boys got the rifle

I borrowed Jeb's rifle and sat on the hill
I saw a lone rider crossing the plain
I drew a bead on him, to practice my aim
My brother's rifle went off in my hand
A shot rang out across the land
The horse, he kept running, the rider was dead
I hung my head, I hung my head
My daughter got her training at that age, including the Eddie Eagle NRA materials. She's now a trained marksman with a .22 rifle and is pursuing her pistol permit.
This tragedy could have been prevented.
This is simply part of the breakdown of civil society and basic concepts such as distinguishing right and wrong. I am so glad I was born in 1972 where I caught the tail end of what America used to be and can use that against this generation’s complete disregard of American values.
More people are murdered with hammers than with rifles...
This story’s plays into liberal delusions... odd.
How is it involuntary when they had to aim at the guy and pull the trigger volentarily to shoot him? Personally I could give a good flying crap on their age. It was intentional. A young dog kills someone, no one hesitates putting it down. Do we really want these little evil bastards around? Throw them both in a wood chipper since they are too young to go to jail, and strip the family of owning firearms. Evil little sonsofbitches!
Run over them with a bush hogging mower.
Incarcerate them for a period of time. During that period, sterilize them.
involuntary, guess the meaning has changed in the last few years...
they saw him, and they shot him, hardly an accident

Not that it really matters, but was this a case of being shot just because he was white?
I believe one or both will kill again.
i hope you are equally outraged they are letting one of the slendernan stabbing girls go free after only a few years
Well that’s stuck in my brain all night, now.
What?!?
Gordon Sumner aka Sting composed “I Hung My Head” for his 1996 album, Mercury Falling. Johnny Cash recorded the song for his 2002 album, American IV: The Man Comes Around
Possibly, given the careless disregard black culture has for life, especially whites.
“He called himself a verb, present tense. He’s not Stung. He’s not Stinging. He’s Sting.”
"Who's got the balls to tell their friends to call them 'Sting'? At one point in his life he had to remind them......"
"Uh...excuse me....from now on, would you mind calling me....... 'Sting'."
"____ YOU...Yeah my name is 'Bite' and this is my buddy, 'Scratch'......Now get me a beer, Gordy!"
"Ok, two Coors Lights coming up.....Laugh now, but I'm going to be a big rock star one day, you'll see! I'll be watching you, watching you!"
-Dana Carvey
They aimed at their target and hit it. Safety was off when they fired. It seems like their training was just fine. Do you think that if they hadn't have skipped the Eddie Eagle seminar on not being evil this would have been prevented?
I have only heard the J. Cash version, but I am sure that it is better than the sting version.
In fact the whole album is amazing
