My nephew told his Grandfather(My father) recently that George Washington was a bad man because he had slaves, and that Pennsylvania is a bad state because we have coal. My Sister is a lefty, but even I don’t think she’d tell him that guff about George Washington. The only thing I can think of is Critical Race Theory.

Stop this nonsense about privilege because most whites have WORKED for what they have - and I don’t give a rat’s rear end about how privileged some white guy was in South Carolina in 1850! MY FAMILY was dirt poor. Both grandparents had NOTHING. My parents had high school educations. Period. And my wife was born in a foreign country and she was poorer than any American has been in the last 100 years.
I once started to read an article on white privilege. I quit reading once I got to the part about black people having to walk further down the aisle for their hair products. Unfortunately, I’m not joking.

Race based chattel slavery was just one of many things happening in the country, and it did not start with that as a founding concept.
