A passenger at Orlando International Airport in Florida was arrested for trying to board his flight with 22 pounds of crystal meth, authorities said.
A TSA agent stopped Eli Brown at a gate around 8 a.m. on Jan. 22 for a random bag check before he could board his flight to Louisville, Kentucky, WKMG reported.
The agent found 22 clear bags, each containing one pound of crystal meth, that were wrapped in clothing, and $900 inside Brownโs backpack, according to the outlet. Police say the drugs are worth $500,000.

If I’m reading this correctly, the TSA stopped him at a random gate, which is leading me to believe that the guy managed to get a what appears to be a carry on back with 22 lbs of methamphetamine through the TSA screening. Three or four of the last five times I’ve flown; I’ve been given additional screening regarding my carry on because I had packed things a little too densely in the bag and the screeners working the x-ray had trouble figuring out what I was carrying with me. It is amazing (not in a good way) that the TSA caught him.
Random check? They must’ve seen something suspicious when he went thru security. Has anyone ever seen a random bag check at the gate?

He probably refused to wear his mask and they found the drugs by accident after that. lol
