Ted Nugent says he won't be taking a COVID-19 vaccine shot.
The rock star, known for his outspoken conservative politics, vented about the pandemic during a Facebook live video on December 25.
"We don't earmark a safety net during a scamming pandemic," he said. "It's not a real pandemic, and that's not a real vaccine. I'm sorry. I ain't taking no vaccine. You come at me with a needle, and I will be in fear of my life, and you know what I'll do if you come at me with a needle. 'Hi, I'm from the government. This needle is good for you.' XXXX you!"
This wasn't Nugent's first controversial, holiday-timed message about the coronavirus. Ahead of Thanksgiving, the guitarist criticized government requests to limit the size of holiday gatherings in order to curb the virus' spread.
"There are dirty, rotten, soulless bastards in positions of power that are trying to tell us how we can celebrate Thanksgiving with our families," he said on his Ted Nugent Spirit Campfire show. "We need to escape that ugliness — not turn our back on it, because we need to raise hell and let our mayors and our governors and our senators and congressmen know: You can't tell me how many people I have at Thanksgiving."
These grievances follow Nugent's late November Facebook post featuring a meme with the caption, "Hey soulless tyranical [sic] bureaucrat punkXXX power abusing assholes come at me with a needle and I will take it out of your hands and shove it up your XXXX. Any questions? Dial 1-800numbnut and Michael Moore will explain how personal hygiene is overrated. XXXX you and your bullsXXXX vaccine."
Meanwhile, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government's leading infectious disease expert, recently told CNN that he's concerned about a "post-seasonal" COVID-19 "surge upon a surge." "[If] you look at the slope, the incline of cases that we have experienced as we have gone into the late fall and soon-to-be-early winter, it is really quite troubling," he said.

I work in a hospital ER. I’ve been exposed to this thing four times. That I’m aware of anyway. Been tested and turned up ‘’positive asymptomatic’’ which means I had it but didn’t develop any symptoms. Had to stay home for a week. Got the first vaccine two days ago.
I wasn’t required by my employer to get it. It was my own decision. I’m still on two feet breathing so I’m happy.
State law here in NJ says if you work in a health care facility you have to get a flu shot.
The flu kills more people a year in the US than some skirmish in some Third World crap hole does every year. No one ever complains about that.
You have my sympathies-well, somewhat. Could you move to another state that does not require a flu shot in order to make a living?
At the end of July, when I got the couf, I would have gladly paid to have been asymptomatic! I practically slept whilst sitting on the toilet... And yes, I know all about the flu-I somehow managed to catch both strains in 2015-AFTER having had a damned flu shot! So much for that BS! It was bad enough but having the couf was worse and lasted almost 3 times longer. Strange how you never hear a word about the flu these days...
I’m 62, overweight and diabetic. Wore the face diaper, used the hand sanitizer, did all the hand washing and other rec’s religiously-still got it... and survived. The wife has a bad ticker-one heart attack, a bypass, has CHF, is also diabetic, has a defib/pacemaker implant due to cardiomyopathy, did all the recs along with me, and got it also. She tested positive for 9 weeks straight. Still has some lingering issues but it could have been much worse. I was VERY worried about her but somehow-and thank God-she’s still here.
