Barry Blitt is a national treasure, at least in the eyes of the readers of The New Yorker magazine.
The frequent illustrator of the trenchantly humorous (humorously trenchant) cover art was enlisted to put the past week of Trump-Giuliani political drama and did so in a starkly mob-themed way. To wit:

On Tuesday, Nancy Pelosi announced that the House of Representatives would be pursuing a formal impeachment inquiry against President Trump. This “mob” theme is a talking point that started soon after the call transcript was released. It is 100% BS.
I think it’s actually an Alinsky-type dig at Rudy - since he ferociously went after the Mob and Crime bosses when he was a US DA - how he built his stellar reputation of Integrity.
So they’re trying to use the thing that built him up to smear him.

I don’t think so. The “mob” theme appeared in many places right after the transcript appeared. The attack is clearly directed at Trump.
I would really like to see how the media gets it’s talking points.
