I get my felonies mixed up. Was President Trump committing bribery if he offered the Ukrainian president $250 million in foreign aid in exchange for an investigation to smear potential Democratic nominee Joe Biden? Or would that be considered extortion?
It doesn’t matter. The real question is whether now, finally, the House of Representatives will perform its constitutional duty to hold Trump accountable. At this point, the president is practically begging for impeachment. Give it to him, already.
Look, this is not a close call. According to published reports about a whistleblower complaint — which the administration outrageously refuses to share with Congress — Trump, during a July phone call, badgered Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about eight times to investigate Biden. Trump also withheld the military aid funds that Ukraine desperately needs.

The allegation sounds like Alinsky tactics from top to bottom.
Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion dollars from Ukraine if they did not fire the prosecutor who was investigating his son. In order to keep this out of the news, the left changes a couple of details and makes the claim that Trump is threatening Ukraine if they *don’t* investigate Biden’s son. The details are different, but close enough that the population that is only marginally aware of current events has no idea that the details were changed, and fall for the altered story.
When they give up on this story, they’ll change slight details of the next example of leftist corruption and make another claim against Trump.

I think a formal impeachment proceeding would put the House back in Republican hands and ensure a Trump victory in 2020.
The wiser heads in the party are worried about this, especially in an election year. However, crazies like AOC and Omar are demanding it.
IMO, the Squad and their allies are more interested in gaining control of the party than in keeping the House.
