In one corner, we have Ivanka Trump and Attorney General William Barr. And in the other, we have Donald Trump Jr.
These are the two sides warring for Trump's favor in an ongoing debate over gun restrictions, Politico reports. Ivanka Trump's faction is reportedly looking for increased restrictions on gun sales and stronger background checks, while Donald Trump Jr.'s is warning him against it — but neither side seems to have curried the president's favor just yet.
As more and more mass shootings make headlines, and as gun violence continues to be an epidemic across the U.S., two sides have formed in the White House. Ivanka Trump and Attorney General William Barr both insist Trump can institute "expanded background checks for gun sales" and "win back moderate suburban voters in the process," people involved in the discussions tell Politico. Donald Trump Jr., along with a top aide to acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, meanwhile say Trump will lose his conservative base if he "pushes too aggressively on new gun control legislation," Politico reports. It has all amounted in absolute gridlock within the White House, with Trump reportedly staying mum on what side he prefers.

Ivanka is the White House resident Democrat. Liberal and out of touch with Trump voters.
I like both of them,but experience is sorely lacking in both.
Look at it this way, if either was pitted against Trump, (who we are going to measure everyone against for years to come) how long would they last?

What he did do is the one thing I said he needed to do - Replace SCOTUS judges with good ones. And if Ruth Vader kicks it (And she will) then it’s end game for the libs.
The next elections won’t matter. It will all end up in civil war. Win or lose. I know if anyone but Trump wins the next one then I’m doing being nice.
My god-given right to defend myself in any way I see fit will not be questioned. I don’t care what any judge, court, politician, celebrity, poet or cop says. Not gonna happen.
In 20 or 30 years, either of these young women might be wonderful presidents. While we have had some pretty awful old presidents, I can’t recall a young president being a very good or effective president — not in this century anyway.
That New York bubble girl Ivanka has zero business anywhere near policy beyond redecorating the white house.
If he follows Ivanka’s advice, I would interpret that as meaning he must be thinking doesn’t need my vote.
It would be better to vote for the dems directly than to endure the death of a thousand cuts.

I disagree. Her good intentions are the good intentions I have for my dog. They are born of viewing herself was superior. I think it’s a cynical effort to obtain and hold power, and nothing else. She has no core values differing from Chelsea Clinton. She views herself as wise and enlightened...and thinks she has some natural anointment to share her wisdom.
Her positions are pure disdain towards us.. not good intentions.
I see no smart. I see the level of success where daddy was a billionaire and carefully trained her and monitored her as she cashed in on the family name with a clothing line...
I expect that outside of fashion and New York and the liberal cocktail circuit, she’s as dumb as a box of rocks.

I don’t recall Ivanka being on the ballot. Her job is to be a mother. Her hobby is shopping and having lunch with her wealthy friends. Neither of those involves dictating to We, the People.
