Not only don’t we know if the memos were “contemporaneous”.

We don’t know for sure if they ever EXISTED.

Even if you claim the dog ate my memos, you could still retrieve the evidence.

Comey better hope that bytes of his memos don’t show up in some hard drive excrement.

This was nothing but a conspiracy with other deep staters to get a special prosecutor to do a witch hunt on Trump since he could no longer run one from the FBI. There was no memo written at the time.

President Trump's bodyguard delivered the firing letter to Comey in California. I don't believe Comey was allowed back into the FBI building since he said in testimony that he was sorry he hadn't had a chance to say goodbye to anyone there. I'm assuming that whatever government equipment he had on him at the time was confiscated, perhaps by a Secret Service agent, or some official from the Justice Department who accompanied the body guard so they could establish a chain of custody for the stuff. We'll have to wait to see if that was indeed the case.
