President Trump, remove all FERAL Government funding and subsidies NOW from this company.

If it cannot hire AMERICAN it does not need our TAX money.

This is a slap in the face of American workers. Why the preference for Mexicans? Tesla is anti American.

I guess, Tesla tried to hire American Engineers however all the American Engineers had jobs and so it is okay with Tesla to hire out of the H1B visa program.

I can see them now, but we tried to hire American. We didn’t find any American Engineers with the right skills and experience for the job. We need to expand our search to Mexico and beyond.

Exactly. Remove all federal funding for Tesla, including Space X.

And if they fail as engineers, they can always work on the assembly line.

Three years ago in Fremont California Tesla was designing a new body assembly plant:

they hired one H-1B guy, a Croatian, to help design that facility; not to sweep up and it not to wash the windows, but to DESIGN the facility.

it turned out he was being paid **$5 per hour and he was working over $70 70 hours per hour** for design work.

he fell from high location was injured and they were trying to hustle him out of the country when all of this came out.

While Tesla is a wretched company with zero principles, I will say there are plenty of very brilliant engineers in Mexico and Latin America.

I’ve met quite a few of them. We’re not talking moochers and MS-13 types.

Is a Mexican engineer kind of like an Italian engineer?

Did they go back home or are they all still here illegally? At least we have their IDs to track them down... unless they’re stolen.

Why not look to Europe? Why Mexico? What about Canada or AU or NZ? We need less Mexicans in CA not more.

I agree with your premise - absolutely.
I was just pointing out you’re not getting trash if you hire good engineers from Mexico or South America.
