The Supreme Courts extra-constitutional decision to make same-sex marriage legal across all 50 states is not without its unintended consequences. Take for example this interesting conundrum: There was a rally to be held over the July 4th holiday weekend in the parking lot of a Walmart in a small town in South Carolina, home of the now-nationally-despised Confederate flag, a rally to show support for said item. In a small parade of vehicles carrying the flag, some were hoisting a second. One of these other flags just happened to be Jesse Jacksons Rainbow Coalition flag. You know the one, the one that the Gay movement usurped for their own use. Well, now, Lefties, how do you handle this one? Gay Confederates. You love em and you hate em. The vitriol over the flying, sticking, wearing, or showing of the Confederate flag spewed by the Left has created a panic in the hearts and souls of the politically correct, and the results are over the top, affecting businesses and individuals across the USA. But now, homosexual flag loving Confederates are waving both flags with pride! Will the Media nanny them to death and plead and beg for the Gay community to renounce their Southern roots? Hate the sin, love the sinner. The Mainstream Media has portrayed Confederates as a group of tobacco spittin slave-drivin Bible-thumpin gun-totin Neanderthals. The Gay community across America is generally pictured by the same media as a pseudo-sophisticated lot, made up mostly of Atheists. Water and Oil; what to do? The SOP of the Left is to simply disregard such matters as nonexistent; no mention, and no controversy. Like so many other things, Benghazi comes to mind instantly, this vexing curiosity will be ignored by the press, the academia, and the pundits. While the Republicans are blamed for everything from global warming to the name of the Washington Redskins, and even as they are nebulously connected to the latest psycho-killing in Charleston, they can hardly be blamed by Democrats for inflicting Southern ethics into a naïve and unsuspecting gay community. Gays as a block vote Democrat, Confederates dont. Which leaves us with a few questions: Will the folks on the Right do their best to rehabilitate the homosexuality out of the Rebels? Will they cajole them into channeling their good-ol-boy and shunning the sins of the wicked? Or will the Republican members of Congress lead by example, somberly goose-stepping along with the politically correct to denounce and reject the Confederate flag, which happens to be like it or not a serious and legitimate piece of our history?... What?... Oh, theyre already marching.
A Blip on the Special Interest Radar
The Gay Confederates are most likely still under the radar. Who knows how large they number; its left up to the Media in all Their power to elevate the GayCons to special-interest status if they are to be seriously considered by those Powers That Be. But no doubt, once our friends in the GayCon community have hit it big, the Vote Hounds will be at their door. Libertarians, you might want to glam onto these guys, looks like a great fit.
Hey, Bob..
What stopped you from learning and posting to threads before firing up threads of your own?
Are you just that much more awesome than everyone else here?
I’m guessing this isn’t the first time he’s been banned from FR.
Oh, and IBTZ!!
He ain't banned now from what I can see.
Sure looks like he's trying to hide his pimping though.
I hates me some pimps.
I was gonna reply “Ya pimp much?”.... But then I says ta mah sef, “Sef, HG’s gonna be here, why bother?”.
You kinda screwed up not posting your blog URL ;’)
IBTZ2!
Yup, and picking a name like “Bobby Blog” is like waving a red flag ...
Well...I thought it was funny.
Well the way Jeff Davis was finally bagged...it gives a whole new meaning to “gay confederates”. Maybe that was his version of Caitlin Jenner?
A first day welcome to Free Republic. Not a good start. You’d be better off to hang around a while and observe how we do things here.
I am sorry if I offended anyone, I’ve never done this before. Is there a better way? Thanks.
I have no idea about any pimping, I just wanted to publish an essay...what’s all the stink?
I pointed just that out to some Proggies on FB a couple weeks back (yes, I know Davis was only wearing his wife’s shawl, not a full dress).
Told them that if dresses were put onto all the statues of Davis they’d have to support him as a hero of trangenderism.
They were not amused by that.
