More than ten thousand people have been killed in Kievs punitive operation in southeastern Ukraine since April, said a Ukrainian parliamentary group. The MPs addressed the president urging to declassify information on citizens killed.
The Ukrainian parliamentary group For peace and stability said on Friday that the figure was given by volunteer groups working in the east of the country, ITAR-TASS reported.
We have estimated that just in the first two weeks of July nearly 2,500 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the area of the anti-terrorist operation, the group said in a statement in the Verhovnaya Rada (Ukraines parliament).
The number of wounded during the same period was more than 5,000 people. Thousands of civilians fell victim to military actions. Most of them died from shrapnel wounds. Thus, the preliminary number of the Ukrainians killed during the anti-terrorist operation, is more than 10,000 people according to our estimates, said the co-chairman of the parliamentary group, Sergey Gorokhov.
The MPs also addressed Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and the government, urging to declassify the official data on the amount of people - civilians, Ukrainian soldiers, and everyone who took part in the anti-terrorist operation who were killed.
Gorokhov stated that the president receives a report on the people killed in the operation every day, but it is classified. Meanwhile, the families of those missing in the military operation zone petition the government each day in the hope that their close ones will be found, he added.

“I understand that 180 soldiers of Ukraine’s 72 brigade”
UPDATE: They are being listed as deserters, and sent to the penal battalion.
Well I wouldn’t go so far as saying that....but yes, it’s a good thing to know all sides....glad you can appreciate that being fully informed creates an environment to discern the times and seasons we are now living....it’s important to have that understanding.
Well then Kiev's saying they simply were out of ammunition wasn't so, or at best sufficient to excuse them of this Military offense, otherwise there would be no punishment.
I am of the mind they trusted Russia over that of the situation they found themselves in.....easier to go there then to the hands of some of the militia’s there who kill everyone regardless of which side.
.......humanitarian concerns on their part is just pure BS”....
No, everybody who is informed knows this is a humanitarian crisis in the East....doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that. All sides realize this.
...”Shades of the days of Stalin”.....
You aren’t the first mentioning this...some journalists and various authors are saying Kiev is behaving more like the USSR then Russia!
I believe that to be true as well...from forcing their military to fight upon threat of death, and some were killed by Kiev’s militia’s for not fighting. To how they shut down information called on by national leaders...Kiev is good at denying what they have.
Ukraine doesn’t care either way as long as they can continue with their shelling and bombing.......the evidence supports this, International Groups have claimed what Kiev is doing is wrong, and those informed have known for sometime that this isn’t about Ukraine citizens wanting freedom. That was history the day Maidan agreed to allow thugs to determine their course in their revolution.
That’s not true and you know it —
....”They’re sowing the seeds of a long, long, violent problem for their selves”......
Yes they are....as with Russia people sometimes don’t get it that certain nations need to have a stronger arm than others to keep the nature of certain violent groups and participants in hand. While at the same time attempt to bring the newer generations up to par with the rest of the world in their behavior and how they live.......Ukraine isn’t ready to be a civil nation just because it’s leaders want to make it so. It takes the people and they simply aren’t ready yet.
