Actually, I mentioned the resemblance back on another thread. I instantly saw the resemblance. Then, I made a post about it, then, I got confused and thought Fred Nerks was sending me a beat down (he wasn’t) and I made a post back to my very own post. Got it? Anyway, I drifted off the subject from that point on. I’ll have to go find the actual comments. It’s in the thread with all the pictures of the folks bobbing in the water, where everyone is taking turns trying to ID everyone. Fred Nerks had begun posting a myriad of images on the group, and that is where the person’s mug first appeared. Yeah, the resemblance is stunning.
We should have fun with stuff like this. Make postcards of this guy and bombard the white hut with them. Send postcards with the social security number belonging to Harrison J. Bounel. Send postcards with the forged selective service registration, something with the Sunahara twins on it, and the list goes on. Little Barry’s school records, pictures from the choom gang, the book cover slip noting Kenya as birth place, pictures of Frank Davis, Donald Young, etc. Anonymously and sterilized of course. I’m sure freepers could find the cream of the crop that’s out there. I think it would be hilarious. Having them come in by the hundreds, if not by the thousands and it would be such sweet Alinskesque revenge/bravado on behalf of the freepers working the case.

The point about two straight haired people producing a curly haired baby defies an immutable law of genetics. So, by that standard, either Bapuk is out, or Stanley is out. Who is least likely to be related to Barry? hmmm.
And if you are still convinced, then at least your opinion is based on a wide selection over time.
According to Barry himself in an interview published in the Harvard Daily when he was in Law School, he went to Indonesia when he was about two. That interview was widely circulated and republished off the A P wire both at the time of the interview and again more recently.
That fits with other elements of the timeline.
Born in early August or late July, 1961; his picture in Mohammad Speaks in an issue reporting a rally in February of 1962 (to press in March 1962; circulated under an April 1962 date) in an image which looks to be about six months old; a series of pictures in Hawaii which appear to be at an age of around 18-24 months--at a date when Stanley enters the U of Hawaii as a Freshman (March 1963); additional pictures that cannot be authenticated as to location which are images of oriental appearance children in groups at ages from perhaps two to four on up which specifically do not include children of probable US Caucasian ancestry nor images of surroundings that can be identified to US locations.
No pictorial or other record, either of Barry and Stanley together or pictures taken in Hawaii or any region other than Indonesia until he enters Punhoe with three exceptions: An image with Scott (3d grade classmate) purportedly taken in December of 1969--he was in the class on a short term temporary basis and we infer that picture is accurate for the reason that it comes from a quasi third party source; an image purportedly taken in 1966 of a Hawaii first grade class which we believe is a fraudulent photoshop image (for the reason that there is no other credible record he was there); and an image taken possibly a year or so later with Stanley and her mother in fairly formal attire in front of U of Hawaii buildings (Stanley received her undergraduate degree from U of Hawaii in July or August of 1967) which may be a true image.
Absent some credible evidence supporting a relationship, a similarity in physical appearance is not evidence of a familial connection.
Particularly when that similarity is a judgement based on ONE image only, and no others - although numerous images of Pacak Subuh are readily available on Google Images archive, which show no resemblance at all, whatsoever. Nix, nada.
Barry Obama attended kindergarten in 1966 at Noelani Elementary School in Honolulu.

Obama and his mother first arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia in October 1967. The family initially lived in a newly built neighborhood in the Menteng Dalam administrative village of the Tebet subdistrict in South Jakarta for two and a half years, while Lolo Soetoro worked on a topographic survey for the Indonesian government. From January 1968 to December 1969, Obama’s mother taught English and was an assistant director of the U.S. government-subsidized Indonesia-America Friendship Institute, while Obama attended Santo Fransiskus Asisi (St. Francis of Assisi) Catholic School around the corner from their house for 1st, 2nd, and part of 3rd grade.
In 1970, Soetoro took a new job at higher pay in Union Oil Company’s government relations office. From January 1970 to August 1972, Obama’s mother taught English and was a department head and a director of the Institute of Management Education and Development. Obama attended the Indonesian-language government-run Besuki School, one and half miles east in the exclusive Menteng administrative village, for part of 3rd grade and for 4th grade. By this time, he had picked up on some Indonesian in addition to his native English. He also joined the Cub Scouts.
In the summer of 1970, Obama returned to Hawaii for an extended visit with his maternal grandparents, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham. His mother had also arranged an interview for possible admission to the Punahou school in Honolulu, one of the top private schools in the city.
In mid-1971, Obama moved back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents and attend Punahou School starting in 5th grade.
And aside from 'the kinky hair' in just which image above is there a resemblance? I'm trying to point out how futile it is to use ONE image to show any resemblance.
The above images now reduce any resemblance to 'kinky hair' - and if you're happy with that, that's fine with me, I just post the images to assist with any possible (conjectured) identification.
