One year ago today, a bullet pierced 17-year-old Trayvon Martins heart and the pulse of our nation.
When the general public initially learned of the tragic circumstances, a sense of outcry ensued as citizens struggled to reconcile the basic facts of the case with the law: George Zimmerman, 29, killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin who was walking home from a 7-Eleven with Skittles and an iced tea, wearing a hoodie because he looked suspicious, and the Sanford Police Department failed to arrest him. Throughout the past year, the controversy sparked continuous dialogue that evolved from a discussion on racial profiling, to an analysis of Stand Your Ground laws, and finally to a national examination of gun control and gun violence.
Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University students initiated the discussion on profiling and captured the essence of the tragedy in a simple phrase, I am Trayvon Martin. On March 19, 2012, students rallied at the doorstep of the Sanford courthouse chanting, I am Trayvon Martin. The students demanded answers from prosecutor Norm Wolfinger. The protest ignited what became a national movement. By the end of the week, people all across the nation took Trayvon Martins cause on as their own regardless of race, nationality, or creed.
Friday, March 23, 2012, culminated in President Obamas unforgettable statement, If I had a son, hed look like Trayvon. President Obamas remarks served as one of the boldest statements made during the past year condemning racial profiling and the willingness of the American people to accept such an arcane practice (consistent with his record as a senator when he sponsored the End Racial Profiling Act).
The initial public outcry led to the release of the 911 tapes where the public heard cries for help, which many believe to be Trayvon Martin's....

Might be a great opportunity to eliminate a few thousand more useless gangbangers!
More Black Ku Klux Klan Racism.....
Ben Crump fought to not be depositioned in this case. He knows that DeeDee, Witness #8, does not exist. It is not the 16 yr old girl or the 18 yr old girl he claims. No record of phone call has been released. There is no Witness #8
Civil Rights is not the wrongful lynching of an innocent man
It is clear that the person that BDLR interviewed that day had been coached by somebody who had the benefit of Zimmerman’s NEN, the media coverage, and his videod walkthru. Two things in particular:
She says that TM picked up ice tea at the store because that is what was inaccurately reported in the media and in police reports. He really bought watermelon juice. She was really put on the spot with that one knowing that you can’t use ice tea to make Purple Drank.
And then she says that TM stopped at the mail thing. Video at the clubhouse will eventually show that he was never at the mail thing, but that is something that was gleaned off GZ’s walkthru video.
Then she says that he had made it home and was at his father’s house. How and why did he then assault GZ 60 yards from the house that he had run to???
If this person called Witness 8 takes the stand I expect BDLR to suffer a protracted spasm of his anal sphinctre that may require a 6 month vacation to recover from.
The lie:
Zimmerman, 29, killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin who was walking home from a 7-Eleven with Skittles and an iced tea, wearing a hoodie because he looked suspicious,...
Corrected version:
Zimmerman, 29, killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin who was walking home from a 7-Eleven with Skittles and an iced tea, wearing a hoodie because Martin took exception to being watched by Zimmerman and assaulted him. The shooting occurred after Zimmerman had called for help from neighbors and was having his head repeatedly bashed on concrete by his assailant.
Which is the same as saying "I'll kick your @$$ if I get the chance", which is a threat, therefore an assault...
Well, it was a dark and stormy night.
Race baiter Jasmine Rand pens a sentence full of lies:
Lie 1] George Zimmerman is 29 now -- but was 28 a year ago when this happened. In ten years as she tells the story will she be referring to him as George Zimmerman, 39,...
Lie 2] Martin did not have a can of ice tea -- but watermelon juice. Just can't admit that the gangsta wannabe liked his watermelon juice with his purple drank.
Lie 3] He wasn't shot walking home. According to Jasmine Rand's own witness, Martin had made it home from the store but then decided to circle back.
Lie 4] He didn't shoot him because he looked suspicious but because the suspicious Martin who decided to circle back then assaulted him and was beating him to death and he defended himself.
Lie 5] Zimmerman was arrested that night -- he was handcuffed, detained, questioned, investigated, fingerprinted, tested, gave multiple statements, all without benefit of counsel -- but was just not charged because all the evidence backed up his statements and pointed to self defense.
But you probably guessed that.
Yes, of course. Which brings to mind an idea for typo self-replies. All has been made a valid screen name; all that means is that you can formally reply to All - although it doesnt mean that the reply shows up on anyones My Comments page. Wouldnt it be handy it the word typo were made a valid screen name in the same intent - not to flag anyone, but to designate a correction. So whenever you fat-finger a reply and dont notice it until you have posted, you could then reply to that reply but change Reply To from your own screen name to typoMight work marginally better . . . and it would seem to be a trivial task to make that available to us lowly FReepers.
How did I miss the first time victims needed an attorney in criminal trials. Or are they just going after $$$$$$
Hey. Your idea worked!
(But in a minute - some real FReeper named typo is gonna respond with a “What do you want...”)
lol
Just another dead violent punk.
