On Sunday, Mother Jones co-editor Clara Jeffery used the murder of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle to push for gun control in a series of tweets that sparked controversy and anger, Twitchy reported.
"So much for good/talented guy with a gun being able to stop mentally ill guy with a gun," she tweeted early Sunday morning.
"So if a Navy SEAL and reputed best sniper in the world AT A GUN RANGE can't take down a sick guy on a rampage," she added a short time later.
Twitchy characterized her tweets as "ghoulish and repugnant" and said she was "not even factually correct."
"Chris Kyle’s murder is not analogous with mass shooting rampages like Aurora, Col., or Newtown, Conn," the Twitchy staff added.
Twitchy said that a number of Twitter users responded sharply to her messages.
"It's irresponsible to tweet judgement (sic) before the full story is out. Responsible journalists wait. You're not responsible," one person said.
"@ClaraJeffery they weren't enemies you moron. He never expected the guy to turn on him and shoot. How ignorant and hateful can you be??" another person added....

I can totally her picture her wearing a pair. Thin narrow rectangles to let us know how “progressive” she is.
It almost seems like all of these incidents are just what Obama ordered. I’m not saying he is behind them, or that there is some grand conspiracy (besides the one pushing gun control), but between Sandy Hook and this and the boy taken hostage (and so many more recently)- it is enough to make me question if this is all a terrible nightmare. It almost seems like there is some overwhelming force unleashing all the evil that Obama wants and needs for his selfish desires. Something is terribly amiss out there, and Obama is gleefully using it all for his purposes.
In 2012 Mother Jones magazine broke the story about Mitt Romney’s “47 Percent” remarks, which are widely regarded to have helped Barack Obama win reelection.
I peruse Mother Jones at the public library from time to time just to see what is going on in the world of our leftist brethren. You can rest assured they’re still just as reliably against everything conservative Americans i.e. real Americans hold dear as they ever were. If you like it, they’re agin it.
