FULL TITLE: Walmart security guard shoots 'shoplifting' mother dead in parking lot as she tries to escape with two young children
A 27-year-old mother of two has been fatally shot by an off-duty sheriff's deputy after he suspected her of shoplifting at a Houston Walmart.
Harris County Sheriff's deputies have said that victim Shelly Frey, Tisa Andrews and Yolanda Craig were stealing when they were confronted by Louis Campbell a 26-year veteran of the force who works as a security guard at the store.
According to Campbell the women ran to their car and when he rushed to open the door, they accelerated away - at which point he fired the deadly shot into the car which hit Frey in the neck.

Security at the store on the 14000 block of the North Freeway had noticed the three women 'stuffing items inside their purses' and notified Campbell, who was working an extra job that evening.
Investigators with Harris County said the three women even attempted to pay for some small items to act as a cover for the shoplifted ones.

You're obviously an ignorant bleeding heart liberal and criminal apologist. What is it that you find appealing about degenerate criminals and scofflaws?
“Good for you!”
Now read the story before you embarrass your species any further.
Don’t you know that Ambulatory CranioRectal Inversions have no ability to feel embarassment?
I see the lawyers lining up for this one ~ 'cause it's PAYDAY!
We'll need to follow up on this story in coming weeks to see what really happened ~ again, this is a case where the driver may have been commiting a felony but the cop shot a passenger. We've had several of those cases in this area in the last few years and the civil cases have gone forward and the cop gets ruined personally, as does his employer. The police force can defend itself quite easily by firing him now ~ although the cop will probably escape any sort of criminal penalty.
The Houston lawyers are already mulling this one over ~ the cop could be fired by tomorrow if they decide it's best to evade any liability over this. Walmart is going to hang onto the video as long as possible ~ they really can't avoid the liability questions.
our local ABC stores keep the pictures right up front where the cashiers can see them ~ of course they're part of the state government, pack heat, and can arrest you for doing stuff in the store.
It is entirely possible the cop recognized the woman he shot ~ which will simply make this thing even juicier as a civil action down the road.
NOTE: the kids were somebody else’s. One of the women was babysitting ~ possibly the driver.
Then the adults in the car are accessories to a crime. Possibly even murder.
She could easily be an innocent dupe who was unaware the other three were actually inside running a theft routine (the news articles says that involved paying for some small items in order to cover up the fact they'd stolen some larger or more expensive stuff).
Having a driver bring the car up to get you is pretty standard at a busy Walmart ~ but that'd be on the videos the store has.
At some point the driver's lawyer will undoubtedly claim that she did not know this guy was a real cop! He'll base that on the 380 million such cases reported on Google.com, some of them recent, and featured on FOX TV in Houston.
Look, these women seem to have been professional thieves so they know............
All accessories to a crime or crimes.
She wasnt shot for the mere act of stealing.

Thanks, fellow Texan, for posting some facts about the incident.
It seems that many here haven’t read the earlier thread that disclosed that the dead woman assaulted the Deputy when he tried to stop the three women from leaving the store, and that the driver of the car assaulted him and endangered his life.
The lame source cited for this thread is purposely omitting facts, just like the media does, to push an agenda.
The two women accomplices left their injured friend to bleed out and die in the car in their apartment’s parking lot, instead of dropping her off at an emergency care facility nearby.
lol
Holders people.
Our disgusting attorney general will most likely have the cop in chains.
She just be gettin' her stuff! Welfare don't provide stamps for stuff.
At some point the driver’s lawyer will undoubtedly claim that she did not know this guy was a real cop!

It’s amazing how you just make up crap to post.
The officer was not a “cop”; he was a deputy sheriff and was wearing his uniform. He was assaulted by the (now) dead woman when he tried to stop them from exiting the store and then again assaulted by the driver of the vehicle.
r u sayin..dont do the crime if cant....do .....?
What does “ru” mean?
are you
We had a similar story locally, where a woman was shoplifting stuff from Home Depot. *As she was making her getaway, she crashed into two cars and fled that scene.
She ran to a commuter lot nearby and hid until some friends came and picked her up. Police spotted her getting into that car and tried to make an arrest but that’s when police say the driver rammed an unmarked police car, forcing an officer to open fire.
Witnesses say they heard four gunshots.* The shoplifter was wounded in the hand, unlike the posted story.
What frightens me, are the cops/rent-a-cops that are shooting wildly, in heavily populated/frequented shopping areas. I am grocery shopping, more than a few times a week in these types of areas, yet these yahoos have no trouble shooting a family dog, when they *feel* threatened.
One less criminal on EVERYones street.
There fixed it for you!!!
Thanks :)
Sometimes it is apparent that vigilante tactics may be the ONLY way to rid this country of the parasites who are the repeat offenders and have no regard for the Law...caught in the act? Take 'em down.
To bad she can’t use the social justice claim but her disenfranchised family can reap the rewards with the right scum lawyer. How to stop the insanity............Scum lawyers would think twice if the knew that thier fraudulent case would afford them a cell right next to thier client.
The whole tone of the story is to paint the perp as victim. What a fraud! She, the perp, with her cohorts, were reportedly robbing a store and trying to do serious bodily harm to a police officer. A store, from which she was already barred for shoplifting!
Texas is very serious about property rights. I lived in the Houston area for over 20 years, and, can recount numerous similiar stories.
The deputy should get a medal for valor and the surviving perps should face charges for capital murder of their partner in crime.
And, we should remember the real victims; Walmart and the Sheriff’s deputy!
