WASHINGTON. D.C. – House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) today, in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, wrote that the Justice Department's request of an extension for completing its document production on Operation Fast and Furious again "demonstrates a lack of good faith" and a Department "more concerned with protecting its image through spin control than actually cooperating with Congress."
"The Justice Department's request for additional time has, unfortunately, not been followed by efforts to bridge the significant differences between its legal obligation to Congress and the reality of its stonewalling," said Chairman Issa on sending the letter that chastised the Justice Department for its lack of cooperation and declining to grant the request for an extension. "The committee is determined to know what happened in Operation Fast and Furious and how the
Justice Department responded when it was publicly confronted with evidence of reckless conduct after Agent Terry's death. If the Justice Department cannot commit to providing, at a minimum, a detailed description of documents it is withholding, and the legal basis for doing so, then the committee has no other option than to move forward with the contempt process against Attorney General Holder."

The elephant in the room is 0bama’s failure to terminate Holder. That’s even worse than Eric “I read it in a newspaper” Holder’s crimes.
Holder and 0bama have gotten by with ‘make me’ and ‘so the f* what’ since 2009. Strongly worded letters just make for good dart practice and file 13 fodder.
Issa’s not acting like he’s got juice. Since when has he and his crew taken this to the mat and brought contempt of Congress or charges or arrest?
This $hit’s a sham. And if Holder leaves, we get whom, West, the Taliban Lindh defender? Gee. Maybe West’ll defend the Taliban in the White Hut.
So what are the Repubs going to do other than the usual whining? Do something! Defund something! Grow a pair.
Nothing will happen, till they hang someone. Which may be a bit too guttural for the metrosexual system.
Issa sure talks a good fight. I’d have a bit more confidence in him if he would show us he can do more than trash-talk. I think it’s safe to presume the executive branch will try to laugh-off any contempt actions and the press will do their damndest to belittle the action as petty, partisan politics.
At that point, it will be Issa and (I guess) Boehner’s move. I’m thinking that if Issa has to depend upon Boehner to get something/anything done when the executive scoffs, then Issa will be sorely disappointed.
You better give us those documents that you promised us a year ago when we caught you lying under oath and we did nothing except threaten.
Holder has no fear of Issa, and even little Greta Van Sustren has lost respect for Issa and his big mouth, no action mugging for the cameras and making empty threats against the DOJ.

I'm sorry to say it, but it seems obvious the RINOs are going to do the usual whining and huffing and puffing, and actually do precisely nothing. I've been hoping they'd take genuine action, but if all they've done thus far is send grumpy letters, the only reasonable conclusion to draw is this: that's all they're going to do.
Well away from cameras and tape recorders, I'd guess the Republicrats and Democans have agreed it's the Republicrats' turn to do some public huffing and puffing through the election this November, followed by Holder's resignation, (I'm sure there's a well paid spot in a name brand Washington, D.C. law firm waiting for him,) and the arrival of a new face at the so-called "Justice" Department. The fix is in. The deal is done.
The Republicans and Democans are the two faces of the Statist party. If you'd prefer, call it the "Big Government" party. It's deliberately nameless and faceless. The remnant of representative government serves to enable the commoners to let off steam every few years. Actual decision-making is done by the self-appointed neo-aristocrats far from public scrutiny "for the good of the country," they assure one another. Burn the Constitution? Of course not! It's in its rightful place in a museum. It's a topic for high-sounding election speeches.
My one consolation in all this is the certainty history will tell the truth. It may take ten years, or it may take another 100 years, but the truth will eventually see the bright light of day. There's a twist in all this, too: once the facts show up, our descendants are going to wonder how we could have been so stupid as to hand over America to a self-appointed oligarchy.
