HISTORY knows him as an evil Nazi monster but Adolf Hitler was quite happy camping it up in the woods.
This rare archive picture shows him in lederhosen and knee-high socks lounging against a tree.
Unsurprisingly, the Fuhrer banned the snap and several taken by his personal photographer in the late 1920s calling it "beneath one's dignity". In another shot Hitler tilts his head and tries a mean and moody stare to camera, topped off by a military cap.
He never wore the hat again.

Dead crowd.

"Try the wienerschnitzel...I'll be here for the rest of the week your life."
LMAO.
How true.
But Both are Evil.
Those children look terrified.
Der Feuher had quite the camel toe.
“Yoo hoo! Mr. Nazi man! Catch me! catch me!”
Yah...I see how this might be beneath one’s dignity....:]
Remember that Germany circa 1920 was made up of ex-independent nation states. Germany was a very modern nation-state about fifty years old (formal unification occurred in 1871). This made Germany younger than the US was when the American Civil War began. So the Nazi Party was dressing up in clothes than made them just like grandfather Herman in Bavaria, Munich,...
Question - how different is this from Mitt or Rick, or Howard coming into your state and eating at the local fairground/dinner to prove he is just like Uncle Ed, Frank, Joe, or ...?
When der fuehrer says we is de master race

Boy, if only that could have been published. If this was truly from the 20s, it may have been his demise before he ever got started. A la Dukakis.
“Springtime for Hitler and Germany/winter for Poland and France’’.
Mitt or Rick, or Howard are not Hitler.
Most Politicians are not what they project.
Obozo shows he is a Hitler want-to-be.
The Constitution was written to protect the nation from the abuses of concentrated power in the Federal Government.
Obozo has at every step trashed, ignored and defied the Constitutional restraints. If we survive as a nation this must be reversed.
Obozo took an oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. Time for accountability.
Moochelle has his body. All we need now is to find a photo of him with his upper arms exposed to finalize the similarity.
Not to speak for samtheman but there has long been an effort to remind the public and people like us that while Nazi Germany was indeed a grave evil it didn’t spring up out of nowhere like some phantom or demon-seed.
Rather it was made step by step, often by ordinary (or ordinary-seeming) men who brought the movement and the nation with them, a bit at a time, speech at a time, law at a time, lurch at a time, into full-blown horror.
A philosopher named Hannah Arendt coined the phrase in a books she wrote about Eichmann back in the early 60s, I believe; and I think part of what she meant was that Eichmann and perhaps some of his compatriots weren’t anything special when you saw them alone, up close, without the vast machinery of Nazism around them.
They were small, dull, defeated, weak. They had wrought great evil but, in and of themselves, they were banal.
(We can see the same incremental damage being caused by the same kind of people—the Obamanation—around us now.)
