HISTORY knows him as an evil Nazi monster but Adolf Hitler was quite happy camping it up in the woods.
This rare archive picture shows him in lederhosen and knee-high socks lounging against a tree.
Unsurprisingly, the Fuhrer banned the snap and several taken by his personal photographer in the late 1920s calling it "beneath one's dignity". In another shot Hitler tilts his head and tries a mean and moody stare to camera, topped off by a military cap.
He never wore the hat again.

I’m a decade older than you and still read fine without glasses...it can happen.

wtc911 - you are a sad person who cannot do anything more than a liberal, taking quotes and rewriting from emotional blindness. Please post the uglinss out of which you speak. It was neither that or offensive, yet you continue to act with false morale outrage. Post it, jerk.
I was quoting Hannah Arendt, and I was also thinking of the documentary called Shoa, that contained an interview with a former official of the German railroad who explained that during the war there were civilian trains, military trains and then something called “special trains”.
When the interviewer pressed him on the content of the “special trains” the railroad official explained in the most dry and banal words imaginable that the SS had certain special transportation needs that had to be handled by special trains. It wasn’t that he didn’t know what was on those trains — who was on those trains — it was that his bureaucratic brain allowed him to “compartmentalize” it completely.
It was one of the most chilling interviews I’ve ever seen, precisely because the rat appeared quite “normal”.
Jumper is way, way, way out of line.
wtc911 responded perfectly.
That’s the way I see it.
Like the more recent rat Hashim Thaçi (KLA Leader in Kosovo) who was accused of organ harvesting from civilian Serb Prisoners held in Albania. He was accused in her book (The Hunt: Me and the War Criminals) but never tried by Carla Del Ponte who was the chief prosecutor in the trials of Serbs during the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in the Hague.
His picture was often seen with U.S. Ambassador Madeline Albright(kissing) and General "Weasley" Clark. (if you wish, I will find the pics again) Thaçi a Nato and U.S. ally??

Then tell me how many agree 100% with my characterization of your nazi-apologist ugliness. And that doesn'y include the private messages I got.
Nope, EM, you have outed yourself for all to see...we know who you are...now stew in it.
Thank you.
Who knew evil incarnate would have such pudgy, dimply knees?
You are unbelievably wrong. Its a mistake to caricature evil as being monstrous and obvious. Just as Satan masquerades as an angel of light, so evil men ALWAYS portray themselves as reasonable and good. They say things like "Hope", "Change" and "Freedom" as an excuse to cease power and commit atrocities.
People can't recognize evil today because they think that the evil men of the past walked around with blood dripping from their mouths screaming "Evil!" and well, since Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel doesn't have blood dripping from his mouth he must be ok.
“Question - how different is this from Mitt or Rick, or Howard coming into your state and eating at the local fairground/dinner to prove he is just like Uncle Ed, Frank, Joe, or ...? “
‘Can I get me a hunt’n license here?’
