They have insisted on calling that "We, the People's" movement a "Party," describing it in derogatory terms, in their attempts to delegitimize its effectiveness. The President and his cohorts, including Piven, do not subscribe to the premise that American citizens who pursue a return to America's Founding principles make up a legitimate "movement."
They are like the blind men who placed their hands on different parts of an elephant and came away with widely disparate definitions of what it was.
Inasmuch as the founding ideas of American liberty embrace a large body of thought which is foreign to that of the writers they have studied (Mao, Marx, Lenin and Keynes), they have no definition for the millions upon millions of citizens who now are united in a desire for freedom, opportunity for all, and the passing on of the torch of libery to future generations.
They bring the "we are who we've been waiting for" concept of Obama, without acknowledging the magnificent inheritance of liberty in America which preceded them.
The "movement" they wish for will bring only strife, unrest and division. The movement centered around America's founding ideas will bring what it brought in 1787: a kindling of the light of liberty for present and future generations.
Indeed we do. It started with those sham “town halls” the other year. I was really excited.
BTW...
“None of us know. I study movements. None of us know... “
Hey, intellectual. It’s “...none of us knowS...”
The idealism of some does not justify the violation of natural rights of others by force and aggression. And the victims of the violence have the perfect right to use force to defend themselves.
I’m not sure they really want to go there. Seriously.
To Piven (of communist Cloward-Piven?)
We have a popular uprising.
Some tea?...
She says she studies movements. I can produce a movement that she can study away on.
The telling part is how the people like her act: on the one hand, nearly begging for someone to do as they wish to, and on the other, decrying their own, truly-meant words. Although they desperately want to rule an undemocratic, non-representative “republic,” they are cowards. It is a bad enough thing that they want and nearly beg for our country’s downfall, in favor of the mad schemes, but the fact of their almost comedic lack of guts smacks of a small town bureaucrat playing the would-be martinet. It’s low farce.
I do think that some of them are not of that low-caliber insofar as violence is concerned, and that is no laughing matter. But the ones like her? She may revel in her dreams, but outside of attempting to convert others to her evil, she is an old, tired weasel, nothing more.
I wonder if she would think that if she knew she would be on the receiving end...
More patriots showed up in DC for the first Tea Party rally than all of these ‘occupy’ riots combined. They best keep in mind.
