As Perry pulls into the GOP Presidential Primary candidate's lead, Democrats quietly glow with glee!
According to Fox News, polls based on phone interviews with 911 randomly chosen registered voters (tallied nationwide) indicate Texas Governor Rick Perry edged past Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney this week, 26% vs. 18%. No other Republican candidly earned even double digits! Of those people polled, slightly more women than men, 74% thought Sarah Palin should stifleincluding Archie Bunker!or, at least, not run in the GOP primary.
So why are Democrats chortling? Those polled were asked to volunteer namesnot pick from a listof contenders they felt were too extreme to be President, but not GOP Primary winner. At 18%, Michelle Bachman topped the list here, beating out even Failin' Palin's 12%... but Perry edged past even Sarah by 2%! These three edged even higher, when considering the crucial Independent voters apart.
Thirty-five percent said none were too extreme, and 22% weren't sure. Only 6% felt Newt Gingrich was too extreme, and only 4% thought that of Mitt Romney, despite his Mormon faith.
So, from this distance, Obama supporters win if "Tea Party" Perry takes the nomination. But don't expect an Obama victory dance just yet!
Meanwhile, not to be outdone, CNN announced today it would stage a Tea Party Republican (only) primary candidate's debate open to everyone over a 2% standing. It ought to be as popular as a free Cirque de Soleil performance! If the 57% polled didn't think these eight entries, so far, were too extreme before the Sept. 12th event, just wait until after!
Like the Bull Moose Party which split Republicans at a critical juncture in 1912, then pizzled away during the next four years, the Tea Party may get "iced" in short order... to Democrat's delight!
FOX Polls are traditionally garbage. There is little or nothing that can be divined from it. One thing is for sure. The leftists are really bent out of shape over it. Good.
Yes...these things we know for sure...Everyday the sun will come up, and every day the liberal media will tell us, by their actions and fake polls, who they are scared of the most. Right now, it is certainly Perry.
You must have missed the “Failin’ Palin” reference in your latest Perry-bashing thread.
Hello, 2ndDivisionPissant. Do you have anymore student newspaper articles that you need to post?

So now you are telling us it’s shaken down to where the only two serious contenders are Perry and Romney. Thanks for clearing that up.
I have yet to read of a Republican candidate who didn't make the Democrats 'secretly' happy. Remember when they loved that that crazy man Reagan was nominated, because it made Jimmy look so rational?
One of the most ridiculously idiotic articles I’ve ever read.
Is this pissant’s blog? I don’t want to click and give anyone who writes this kind of insipid trash any undeserved traffic.
Democrats never do anything quietly (unless they're putting one over on the People and even then they tend to boast) and that "glow" is from the fever that infects them all - to do Satan's bidding.
Gather is way to the left. They did a lot of the Palin bashing in 2008 and since.
Gather Politics may have at most fifty readers. Just the sort of post that FR needs.
Just another “tar baby” article.
If Governor Perry and you Perrywinkles can’t take the kind of heat and abuse that Governor Paslin has had to put up with these last three years, perhaps you should convince him to withdraw from the race.
You’re becoming unhinged by posting blogs and student newspaper articles to smear Perry.
You’re pissant’s clone. Congrats.
