None of the video’s on the link relating to this work. I suspect they removed them at the request of the State Police.
Even the couple’s interview with the press has been removed.
I thought it might be a format issue and I tried other video’s on the site and they worked fine.
Smells like a lawsuit to me.
Sadly, that's not the case in Ohio. We've had several years of scandal with ours...from patrol troopers all the way up to the Colonel.
but I was assured by a relative that lives in Wilmington NC that this in fact did happen.
Not defending the state trooper or the couple but until you get an actual determination of the facts under oath with some perjury penalty potential then this is nothing more than a ‘he said’ ‘she said’ type confrontation. I could believe either side of the story if it was so determined.
Doubt that, I don't know any state that does that.

All I meant was that it was reported in the news as presented in the letter, and that it was not an internet myth event.
As far as what actually happened, you are correct. I suspect it will be tried in court, not the press.
The apparent removal of the video’s that were linked here from the TV station supports the likelyhood of a lawsuit.
And she probably looked younger at night when he pulled up beside her.

The ones that did not work were the ones about the details of the arrest and the interview with the couple. Both appear to be removed.
I have a friend who got forced into a defensive manuever by a State Trooper then pulled over. When the trooper came back with the ticket, he told my friend to hang up the phone. Instead, my friend asked the trooper if he would like to explain to his commanding officer why he pulled the stupid stunt he pulled. The cop began to shake as he took the phone. At last word, Internal Affairs was involved.
.00 on the breathalyzer is all I need to know about this story.........and where is the ticket for the alleged faulty headlight? Oh wait, there wasn't one issued.
Re-read the context in which that reference was made. IMHO, they weren’t referring to this incident in particular, but to a number of scandals involving their troopers over the past few years.

There's no bonus per se, but completing all the paperwork that goes with a DUI arrest, especially one made toward the end of a shift can lead to a few hours overtime spent in a nice, air conditioned, office environment.
Look. This is RIDICULOUS. She REFUSED THE BREATHALYZER TEST and that means you get arrested and hauled down to JAIL! Her pretense for not taking the breathalyzer was she didn’t trust the trooper.... What hogwash. If she “failed” it because he manipulated it she WOULD PASS THE URINE and BLOOD test at the jail! This lady and her ambulance chasing attorney hubby are trying to get out of a DWI charge and/or a charge for refusing a DWI test. No question. Good lord people are naive here. You believe 100% of what the hubby writes, even though it has already been discredited, and 0% of what the police report has. What SHAMELESS members here.
