We all know why she's doing it....

The beautiful thing about living in America is the privilege and right to agree to disagree with fellow Americans. That's right, I didn't the memo either telling why Sarah chose to back the lamest RINO in the Republican party today.

Umm, I hope you do realize jumping from the low 60’s to the high 90’s in conservative rating in a once-in-six-years election cycle is not a reason for McCain to get our support.

And, how in the heck do we know if JD gets elected, he won’t get taken in by the elitists in DC? We don’t. I’m not taking sides in this election, because, quite frankly, I’m on the fence.

The voters of AZ have the final say, and I’m leaving it at that. I support Sarah more than any other politician out there right now.

For those who want 100% perfection - sorry, that person was crucified over 2,000 years ago. But, have no fear - he’s still alive and in control.

We can’t put our hope and trust in man or government. They will fail us all the time.

We want better for our country and we need to stay in prayer and stop demanding perfection from others that we ourselves can’t deliver.

Defeating McCain might be the very best thing we could do for Palin. Otherwise she seems intent on playing up to him and his power in the party.

Conservatives seem to have something in common with Obama.

They forget that the president is president of all the people.

If Sarah wants to get to be a better president than what we have she’ll remember that.

Just catering to the conservatives will not get her elected. They don’t have enough cohesion even if they had enough numbers and unlike the liberals they tend to want it all now instead incrementally.

If our modern Conservatives were running WWII there would have been no Selerno, Normandy, Midway or Iwo Jima. They’d have wanted to go directly for Berlin and Tokyo. And we’d have lost.

“How are they supposed to act ? I never got the memo... “

They hang together or they hang separately. It’s in the history books.

Trying to appease liberal is a sure way to NOT get elected.

>> Preserving and strengthening the party is what’s important here. We can’t afford to be seen discarding John McCain. Sarah Palin can’t afford it either. <<

Why not? Where was party unity when McCain teased about joining the Democrat party ? When he muzzled free speech? When he gave a $100 billion bailout to the lawyers through his cigarette deals? When he and Teddy wanted to give amnesty to 30 million invaders? Where’s party unity when McCain tries to get the Obama administration to silence their critics?

Or does party unity mean we have to blindly accept whoever our masters thrust upon us? Which party are we talking about?

I don’t want perfection. Stop that silly mantra. Sarah Palin isn’t perfect either...I know that comes as a shock to some.
I just want to know what she REALLY thinks, and she just won’t say. I’m talking about John McCain...and anyone who supports him without question is well.....questionable.

Well said and spot on!

I like Sarah. I don’t have to agree with everything she says or does. I sure don’t want to see a cult spring up around her like sprung up around Boy George.

She’s mistaken to go anywhere near McCain, but she’s right on most other things. I’d sure take her over one of the liberals (Romney & Huckabee)who the media says are also top tire contenders for the nomination. But she isn’t the only conservative out there.

I don’t want 20 million illegal aliens given amnesty, and anyone who supports Juan McAmnesty supports that passage. It is a big F’n issue. We just got health care crammed down our throats, and next on deck is amnesty, I dont want Mc Cain crossing the isles or having a vote on that issue. He has shown his true colors and they stink.

Why can we not be seen as discarding McCain? That is why we vote.

Is this a good reason why Arizona voters must vote for McCain?

Sarah worshipers need to stop bashing anyone who is not a fellow Sarah worshiper. There are quite a few on FR who have some reservations about Sarah, and are taking a wait and see attitude. But that’s not good enough for the worshipers, only down the line acceptance and gushing praise is good enough.

The big elephant in the room is that no one really knows what Sarah thinks on all the important issues. I’m not sure she knows yet. I’d hoped she’d use this year to establish her own identity and clarify her views on major issues, but attaching herself to Juan McCain is not the way to do that. With five more months to go until the Arizona primary, what she does over that period of time might solidify her base supporters, or it might cost her many supporters. Depends on how long she hangs around with Juan, and how closely she ties herself to his views.

In the mean time, many of us are neither bashing nor worshiping, just waiting to see the real Sarah Palin.

We can have either a majority in Congress, or ideological purity. We can’t have both. The country is deeply divided, just about 50/50. So you want to get rid of seven senators because they’re four points short of 100% on the ACU scale? I’m a conservative. Don’t get me wrong. But I’m a broad spectrum conservative. Each and every one of the Republican members of Congress, including every last RINO, voted to stop ObamaCare. No exceptions.

I believe in nominating conservatives wherever possible. In a few extremely rare cases, where the Republican nominee is hopelessly liberal and there’s a conservative third party candidate (like Doug Hoffman against Dede Scozzafava), I’ll support the third-party candidate and do everything I can to get him elected. But in nearly every case, once we have a GOP nominee, we need to get that GOP nominee elected.

There’s strength in continuity and loyalty too. We expect candidates to be loyal to the party. In return, unless the candidate is as far to the left as Scozzafava, or corrupt like Mark Foley, we need to be loyal to the candidate.

It is obvious that Sarah Palin is the only one who can defeat Obama and that we need to be united around her!

What about Michelle Bachmann?

Which ‘loser’ are you going to support if she decides not to run?

“We all know why she’s doing it....SARAH PALIN IS THE BEST CHANCE WE HAVE TO UNSEAT OBAMA”

No, we don’t know why she’s doing it. She talks about being a conservative. Yet when there’s the choice between a good conservative or John McCain, she chooses McCain. Her best option would have been just to sit this fight out.

As for her being the best chance to have to unseat Obama, I have to respectfully disagree with you. Unfortunately she is damaged goods. She is a good fundraiser. And while most of us enjoy listening to her and would support her if she were the candidate, she does nothing to attract the crowd who proudly boasts that they get their news from Letterman or Leno.

Is it fair the the MSM and entertainment world have labeled her as unqualified to be President? No. Is it reality? Yes.
