Get Real! Cut the Third Party Crap: The Two Parties Are Not the Same

I'm all for Ralph Nader running again. I'd love for Howard Dean to get fed up or some other Democrat to get fed up with Obama and I'd love for a third party of Democrats and liberals to establish itself. I want all kinds of liberals to line and up run in third parties. That's how we weaken their side. As for our side, the focus must be to take back the Republican Party. That's the way you win. You can draw attention to yourself by denouncing both parties at the same time, and you can think that you're relating to a whole lot of people or being disabused and forgotten about, but you do a grave disservice in doing so because you're never going to win anything. You're going to guarantee Democrat victory in perpetuity. We need a strong conservative movement that takes back the Republican Party and then we have a strong Republican Party. It's hard work but it is happening.

I did actually get Chunga to respond to the Schiff /Levin predictions 'post' and one of his criticisms of it I think was right.

Background: In it Peter Schiff was giving the real true state of the economy at the time May 2007 and a future prediction based on it , meaning the coming economy disaster.(my post),

Chunga correctly pointed out that Levin, through the fiction Bush letter, was just pointing out just the current state in May 2007, as being good, and the increase in minority homeownership being good and unappreciated.

Levin was not talking about what would happen after that date 2007, just that things were great at that point in early 2007 and we were not appreciating it.

While I don't see how this redeems Levin at all(if you cant see the problem here please ask), I was not careful in posting the thread title as 'predictions'. Levin was not making predictions about the future. I concede Chunga was right on that. Right is Right.

I know. I watch MSNBC and they repeat it over and over(Myth about NY-23 being Republican).

But don't get too upset. They are repeating this Republican civil war theme because their ship is sinking FAST and this is their last life-raft hope. Back in 2003 I was a Bush-bot. I actually thought that he was sent to Republicans and us by above. I first heard mark Levin subbing for Rush in December 2003 and became a follower. Like these few remaining Bush-bots, I wanted to believe. Everyone wants a hero to exist. But too may things went wrong. Too many lame explainations and defenses (I can write a while post of them.) In after two election losses, the economic crash, increasing debt, still in two ongoing wars. Something didnt add up. Then last Fall I saw clips of Peter Schiff warn us a few years ago that we were seriously headed in the wrong direction (I actually saw him on Cavuto in 2006 and 2007 and wasnt sure what to make of him) header for a complete disaster.

It all was a big lie, and both Republicans and Democrats were in on it. This is something I didnt want to be true.

I remember telling fellow Republicans and democrats not to worry, GWB knew what he was doing and he would be shown like Reagan to be a visionary. I have since then apologized for those predictions.

Not that I didn't get concerned earlier, but my first alarm bell that I was greatly mistaken was late 2006. Any reservations I may have had in deciding I was completely wrong about GWB (very few) were removed by Fall 2008.

To put my past delusions in context(I was not completely insane) , I was a Levin-bot like our fellow freeper here. Obviously I became a Bush-bot before I first heard Levin in late 2003, I depended on Rush and even Hannity. The three were beating the pro-Bush drum for 7 years, 2000-2006, and even some for another two years(with some specific complaints we all know about) . To be American, to love america, you had to love Bush.

well guys, i lost most 'faith' in W when he stated his intention to sign AWBII 'if it got to his desk'...

luckily the Rs [and some Ds] took that seriously enough and 'killed the bill'...

9/11 cemented alot of blind faith in some, and of course he was 'better' than the goracle or any other rabid socialib, but he didnt really put the hammer down and squash the nest like i think he shouldve...

toss mcfeingold into the mix and i no longer thought that we were safe from the 'R' type of government either, big brother doesnt know it all, and truly doesnt need to...

that doesnt even touch the other 98% of the crap weve put up with for 8 yrs, yeah there were a few soCon positives, but anymore I think those were as much political theatre as true core principles...

the results are now that i will not vote against someone in the future, I'll trust my guts and ask for guidance from the Lord to decide from the flimsy human evidence that I am able to gleen from past records and 'promises'...

beyond that, unless these twits are ready to shake every hand in the country and really have a look me in the eyes sit down, I merely dont trust what any ambitious politician has to say...and yes, one has to be ambitious to be president these days, but it wasnt always the design, nor should it be...

I guess bottom line is that I dont have much faith in my fellow man these days, especially professional politicians, and wont buy into the straight ticket 'faith' in the future becusae the other side is 'worse than'...

because truly none are perfect, no not one, and ALL are human and capable of things human...which is lust of their self in one form or another...

Dear sick, I looked by to try to find your question regarding the Constitution to no avail, but before I answer your question regarding my view of the Constitution (having 4 copies of it within my reach as I sit at my desktop), or consider it a question from a legitimate source, please answer the following questions...

1. Are you an active participant in the Tea Party movement, and have you attended any rallies, local or otherwise?
2. Have you ever attended a town hall meeting, a pro-life or support our troops rally, or any conservative protest?
3. Have you ever written a letter to the editor espousing conservative candidates, or principles?
4. Do you belong to any conservative organizations?
5. Have you ever supported any conservative candidate with your finances, time, phone calls, going door to door, or letters?
6. Have you ever called a Senator or Congressman from either party to protest things with which you do not believe?
7. Did anyone ever teach you right from wrong, and if so, why did you rebel?
8. Do you understand that lying is still wrong, even if you are anonymous and people laugh with you about it?
9. How, precisely, do you believe that attacking other conservatives on the Internet actually promotes conservatism?
10. Have you ever attacked, or even conversed with a conservative on this website without calling in reinforcements? (i.e do you have the courage to stand on your own?)
11. Have you ever thought independently or acted courageously in any situation in life?
12. Have you ever read any information regarding the War in Iraq from any source other than Wikipedia (i.e Iraq Report, The Long War, anything by Peters, anything by the military)?
13. Have you graduated from high school or college, and are you currently employed?

When you answer the above questions (any legitimate conservative could answer the vast majority of them without hesitation), I will consider replying to your next post to me. Otherwise, I will continue to ignore your endless inanity, spamming, and unbridled dishonesty, and continue to consider you to be what you made obvious in the first post I read from you.....a pretender.

If you do not answer any or all of the above questions, I will understand that you have no conservative record, and will consider all your posts to be from someone who does not share my conservative activist goals. (No need to reply if you choose not to answer any of the above questions).

Sorry for my delay in replying Victoria. That nasty old windstorm knocked out my cable for two days and I had no Internet!

I've read all your posts and note that these supposed "conservative" foes of tnose of us who actively support conservatism across the board can dish it out with a shovel, but scream like children when a spoonful is returned. Not exactly a courageous bunch, I'd say. :)

I've been thinking a lot about Sarah, and you might just share my husband's and my experience. We are both strong conservatives who were practically apoplectic about McCain's nomination and were on the phone and e-mailing the RNC and our reps incessantly about the direction things were going.

Then along came Sarah, who represented our conservative positions down the line, and showed a willingness to fight and be true to conservatism that was refreshing and exciting. My husband said it...."I AM Sarah Palin. She IS me."

I think there were thousands upon thousands of us who felt that way, and though McCain lost (she would have won on her own, methinks), she has come back stronger and more resilient than ever, and holds in her hands the very real possibility that the GOP can and will be reformed.

There's much more to that interview in the Limbaugh Letter, including the disturbing news that the McCain campaign would not allow her to give a "shout out" to President Bush at the convention to thank him for keeping us safe. (Rush was shocked). McCain was running against Bush as hard and strong as the dems were, and IMO, that's part of why he lost. No courage.

Anyway, GOOD to hear from you, and I hope to see you around more often, fighting the good fight! :)

ohioWbot! I missed you! You bless me with your pings periodically. I havent pinged you in a while. I believe my questions you are referring to were :
1) What do you mean by the constitution ?(you say you are defending.)
2) what do you mean by conservatism ? (you are promoting) , and I think the third was
3) Marxism was a term you used(you are opposing), what do you mean by Marxism? .

If you cant answer what you mean by these terms ‘you use’ then there is a problem, even if you are as politically active as you claim. You dont have to agree with me, but you do have to mean something when you post things. (my opinion anyway.)

This website is not about us personally . It is not about what we anonymously claim about ourselves. It is about ideas. You seem to have none to share based on your last post to me. I challenge you to find posts where I claim I am personally any label. I think I responded to a Bush bot calling me ‘liberal’ with the term ‘liberty-al’, but that is rare.

Sure looks like it to me. It's been my experience that the braggarts and blowhards who yell the loudest about what THEY have done for this or that cause, while they demand that YOU state what YOU have done, generally haven't done squat.

And I see no reason to think otherwise in this case.
