Doug Hoffman pledged to help Dede Scozzafava in an e-mail sent two days after the Republican Party passed over the Lake Placid accountant for the nomination.
The e-mail, sent from Mr. Hoffman's business account on July 24 and provided by the Scozzafava campaign, states in full: "Hi Dede, Congratulations and the best of luck in your candidacy. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Doug."
This is contrary to what Mr. Hoffman, who is now running against Ms. Scozzafava as a Conservative candidate, told me less than two weeks later.

I bet you really crack up the kids on the short bus.
I’m sure that won’t be necessary.
“Despite having signed a pledge to support the eventual nominee to emerge from the process, Hoffman considered the possibility of asking for the Conservative Party’s endorsement to run against Scozzafavva, making it a three way race.”

The party is not working out for the people.
I wonder if there’s a medical name for that?
Probably because her mask fell off and she’s exposed as a liberal. Funny how liberals try to masquerade themselves as something they’re not. Ironic that it happened so close to Halloween.
I will have a nice day when you quit directing your political ignorance at me. Thanks in advance.
No.. but i like to tap on their helmets with my pencil... It drives them crazy...
Its kinda funny to watch “special people” get mad... ;)
Hoffmanitis?

You started it toots, I was done with you three posts ago. Go ahead and respond to me again, I’ll not be continuing this any further.
Okay, you won me. Give us a cuddle.
Where in communication did he say “I promise?”
“Worse, your efforts have exploited the naïveté of an inexperienced candidate, who doesn’t currently live in the district and who broke his own pledge of support in the unrealistic hope that the Republican Party would abandon our chosen candidate.” —Niagara County GOP Chairman Henry Wojtaszek
Despite having signed a pledge to support the eventual nominee to emerge from the process”
And where is this signed pledge?
I know where he come from, and these Democrats I highlighted in the previous posts demonstrate where he's headed since. His interests are in himself.
I don't begrudge him selling books and videos. That's part of the free market capitalist society.
When he's palling around with the likes of Pelosi, Sharpton, and Hillary on issues that advance Liberalism and Socialism, one should reconsider their hero worship of a guy who is looking out for numero uno.
Mojave has been not-answering all these charges for hours now over and over and over and over.
Don't feed the trolls. Your blood pressure will go down quite a bit.
When you're done being cute, produce that pledge you allege is out there that Hoffman allegedly signed on to.
Once again you do not have the pledge. What is the pledge say that he will support the propoerly nominatee and the nomination was rigged? Then he would not be bound by the pldege so until you can show the pldege, you are speculating that he is a liar.
I’ve read through all the comments on this thread, and I must say, WHO CARES?
We have a race among a Conservative and two Liberals.
What’s there to debate?

GOP leaders were outraged, especially since Mr. Hoffman, like other congressional hopefuls, had pledged to support the nominee. He did say it repeatedly, said Sandra Corey, the former GOP chairwoman of Jefferson County. And then all of a sudden, its a no-go, like he hadnt understood her background, which is a falsehood. I would never, ever trust him.

“The irony of this stunt is Doug Hoffmans entire campaign is built on his own broken pledge. He promised and then went back on his word to support the selection of Dede as our partys candidate. Shortly after breaking his pledge, Hoffman said he is both for and against Dont Ask, Dont Tell. The bottom line is you cant put much trust in any of Doug Hoffmans pledges or positions; theyre likely to change from one moment to the next.”
“As Election Day draws closer, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Doug Hoffman could very well spoil a perfectly safe Republican seat held by our party since the mid-1800s,” said Ms. Dancks. “Doug Hoffman took an oath to Republican voters to support the Republican nominee in our district, but his pledge has gone unfulfilled.” —Madison County GOP Chairwoman Therese Wiley Dancks and Madison County Board of Supervisors Chairman John Becker.
