Kenya became "fully independent" in 1963, formed a Republic under an elected temporary government, and then elected a permanent government under a republican form in just under a year. What did they call themselves in the interim? The Land of Kenya? How about the temporary, semi-established Country of Kenya. Joe's Tavern?

It wasn't one until 1964.
