jveritas is a troll. Kenya became independent on December 12, 1963. Incredibly the 1964 date is beginning to show up on internet sources already this morning! Is this some type of leftist reaction to this document? Double check your source if you are convinced by the misinformation. Are they going to rewrite independence date of an entire nation of people? Maybe no one there will remember? Why don’t you change the date on the Declaration of Independence to July 4, 1777 while your at it?

jveritas is a long-time poster and not a troll. I think the point he was trying to make was that while Kenya became independent at the end of 1963, it didn’t declare itself a republic until the end of 1964.
My feeling is that it had to be known as something in the interim, and since it planned to be a republic, it may have referred to itself that way in internal documents, regardless of the fact that it wasn’t “official.” The only way to prove it either way would be to find an official Kenyan document from that same period.

You should check first and and open your big mouth only after careful consideration. Jveritas is a very careful investigator and this isn't about beliefs but facts. So, the anti side is more important than the pro side in the process of vetting this document. Folks are trying to establish if there is an error in this document.
WND says that is is the same as document from this period. Obviously we would like to see evidence of this, such as a comparable B.C. in the same date period. But, calling old hands here a troll is the mark of someone who is really non-serious. My recommendation is a public apologia accompanied by groveling.
yea, jveritas is 100% legit. I would trust him with my kids I think. The 1964 date may well be a deliberate misstatement. There are all sorts of things like that planted in the internet to confuse people. Some are genuine mistakes like the 1964 date, but they can be checked on and verified.
