I have to agree. They took him to where he normally lives apparently. They were not responsible to give him a wheel chair and I would presume he did not come with one. People generally leave the hospital in their own clothing.
I guess the worker should have put him out on the sidewalk not in the street? As for her touching up her make up, well hard to believe any women I know would choose skidrow to do that, but she did so at her own risk.
Working in a hospital, clothes get “lost” and we always find some to send someone home in, usually sweats. And just like rehab patients or post surgical clients who need crutches, canes and yes wheelchairs, they don’t go home without them. And they might to to a rehab facility or skilled nursing facility until we get them shelter.
BTW, this has happened to people of all colors by this hospital.
Well, unless he arrived in a hospital gown I doubt it. Article said "left him in a soiled hospital gown"
Generally. I had taken my infant son back east to the grandparents when we had an apartment fire. My late husband, after rescuing 2 older people from the building, spent a few days in the hospital w/smoke inhalation. His clothes were cut off in the ER.
We knew no one in the town, and as stated above, I was out of town. The hospital released him in a hospital gown - no underwear, no shoes, nothing. They gave him a voucher and a bus token so he could get to a clothing store. It has been many years, but to this day I think of my husband, a VN vet who fought for his country, with all of our belongings destroyed and our apartment gone, on the bus in a hospital gown, trying to find some clothes.
I'm as much of a conservative as the rest of you people, but I swear, I can't believe you don't find the idea of a parapalegic left on the street abhorent. I would say it is against Christian principles, but I'm not a Christian. Apparently many of you are not Christians either.
