So you finally know what happens to Harry. All our questions are answered. Or not. What are your reactions? Whose death hurt the most? Do you want more, and about whom?

It really shook me when Harry told his son, “You’re named after two Hogwarts Headmasters. One of them was a Slytherin and he was the bravest man I ever knew.” THAT’s saying something.
I picked that up, too! I’m going to start listening today (makes the work day go faster). I caught Jim Dale on Fox and Friends for a second this morning. He did a little of Professor Sprout’s voice and a little Seamus. It was really neat!
LOL! We did that last weekend! I told him, "We better see it this weekend, cause next weekend we aren't doing anything but reading!"

Not at all. I knew one of Fred or George was going to die after the 6th book. One of Rowlings' points was that war is horribly expensive, and that the good guys often get killed.
She had to kill a Weasley, and it had to be somebody who mattered to us. That left Molly, Arthur, Ginny, and Fred/George. Of those, the twins were the obvious target.
My prediction was based on personal considerations: my grandfather lost his twin brother in WWI -- it strongly affected two entire generations of our family after that. I knew Rowling would have seen the plot possibilities there.
Ewww. Thank God he did. No one could play it like Allan Rickman can. He is a master at being the bad guy.
I liked when Ginny jumped in when Cho said she would take Harry to the Ravenclaw common room. "Luna, why don't YOU show Harry?"
As I told my daughter: "toldja so." Personal family history (see my last) made it an obvious death. I was merely waiting for it to happen. It happened a lot later than I expected, actually: Rowling might have done better to kill him earlier, so as to rachet up the Weasley family tension ... to make Ron's choice that much harder, for example.

Tim Roth was incredibly good as the bad guy in Rob Roy. I agree that Rickman is perfect in the role, but Roth would have done it well.
I liked it, too. People can call it schmaltzy or sappy or whatever they like, but I liked it and I suspect most people did, too.

The scene was sort of an inside view of Aslan's mindset as he went to the stone table. VERY similar imagery.

True, but seeing as how they treated Harry, I never cared to find out how they ended. There were some loose threads in other areas I would have liked to have tied up, but overall the book was excellent! I did have a feeling that the “awful” boy that Petunia talked about in OOTP was going to be Snape and not James though. Because I believe in the very first book she mentions that she never met Harry’s father, because once she determined her sister was a freak, they broke off all contact with one another.
Oh he’s very good. I’ve seen him in quite a few things, but now it’s like hearing that someone else was supposed to play Rhett Butler or Don Corleone or Tony Montana. The actors so completely embody the roll that you can’t imagine anyone else coming close to their portrayal.
I love Jim Dale! I can’t wait to hear this last book done.
Did he lose his broom too in that scene? (with Hedwig?)
So 19 years later Harry ended up eating onion rings with his family at a diner in Jersey?

I thought Duddikins had an awakening when they said their farewells. AND, I do think poor ‘tunie did love her sister. She even tried to get into Hogwarts to be with her. She was the one that got left behind, she was bitter.

:( Yeah, I kind of knew one of the twins would die also. I imagine your grandfather often feels a vital part of himself is missing, you often hear how twins have such strong connections. I wish she would have told how George was in the epilogue. His name wasn’t mentioned
