I'm not usually the snarky type, but if you're going to refer to some of my ancestral and spiritual forebears as "iliterate" "europeons", perhaps you should learn to spell the insults correctly?
By the way, the word protestant was first used at the Diet of Speyer in 1529. The various princes and others called their statement a "protestatio" - that is, a solemn declaration, not "a statement recording disapproval".
