You are so right about Sanjaya.
I don't remember if it was last night or last week when, after scathing reviews from the judges, Ryan asked Sanjaya if he thinks he belongs there.
IMO a normal answer would have been that the competition is tough and there are a lot a good singers here, but Sanjaya blurted out "Yeah", like his talent is so obvious.
LOL. True. The dangly earrings & the spiral perm is showing way too much feminine side for me. Some things you just gotta keep to yourself.
Looks like we can’t trust Dial Idol as a credible source for the time being. They were way, way off tonight.

Sometimes Idol plays that game and actually doesn’t stay it’s the bottom 2 or 3. They just hope we’ll assume that. I’ll re-watch the show tomorrow night and double check.

If Sangina sings a Michael Jackson song he WILL NOT be in the bottom 3. If he sings an MJ song every week, he will be in the finals, people want a new MJ. A pure, pixie like asexual non threatening "male" without the pedophilia.
Well, Chris definitely picked the wrong song this week, and he totally demolished the arrangment. Simon was right, it was unlistenable. I think style can be cultivated, to some extent. I really like his voice, and I think he sings with feeling, so I was glad to see him escape the axe this time.
Hey, Jonny. Did you see that news release from Mediabase yesterday about the impact AI is having on radio? In addition to our two girls, Kelly and Carrie, I am SO proud of Josh Gracin. Simon never thought much of him, but he's proving that Simon isn't always right.

UGh. The local affiliatae just showed Simon being interviewed. He said total sympathy vote. They asked him if he minded that, and he says no because in the end those types never win. I will LOL if he does!! :) I would hate it, but I would laugh with scorn at the 3 who put him in it.

A lot of the blame has to be laid at the feet of the judges, the top 24 was really weak and the "top" 12? Wow, this is the worst crop of talent ever.
This is going more like the gong show this year than a talent contest.
Brandon would have gotten the gong about 30 seconds in.
10 Seconds into Sangina's song all three would be scrambling to hit the gong, falling down, using their hands, etc.
Simon should be given the option to pull the plug on people, just cut off the microphone of the singer, something like that.
I thought Ryan told Brandon right off the bat that he was in the bottom three tonight. Maybe someone can play it back and let us know.
The male talent is pretty weak but you have four female singers who can legitimately sing although only one could be a pop star. Stephanie, Melinda and Lakisha are all legit R&B singers with Stephanie the weakest of the three.
Jordan has major talent and would sell serious records.

I'm pretty sure Simon wanted Daughtry to win last year. I wonder how much of a difference there is in the contracts, how much money Simon doesn't see, because Daughtry came in 4th instead if 1st. This is a large country, we have room for lots of different types of genres of music and entertainers.

Of course he's a JOKE, but the irony of it all is obviously there is a contigent of 13 yr olds who just love his hair!!! I'll bet this kid uses a curling iron twice as much as anyone of his little teenie bopper fans do.
