Rudy Giuliani Throws Hat Into 2008 Presidential Ring
Post Chronicle ^ | 2/1/07

Posted on 02/01/2007 5:41:39 AM PST by areafiftyone

According to a source close to The Giuliani campaign, Rudy Giuliani is throwing his hat into the ring.  The Hinzsight Report confirms, through a source close to the Giuliani campaign, that he is presently sending people out into all 50 states to secure his name on the primary ballots.

"Despite Mayor Giuliani's public cautiousness, this is evidence that he is seriously pursuing the Presidency in 2008, and he should be taken very seriously.

Critical state polls have shown Mayor Giuliani leading the pack, and it's about time that he start being considered what he is--the front-runner" a source tells The Hinzsight Report.

Giuliani has lined up nearly 300 key Republican supporters in New Jersey for his bid for the 2008 presidential nomination, his campaign announced this week.

In a recent Quinnipiac University poll of New Jersey voters, it showed Giuliani leading all Republican presidential candidates and ahead of Sen. Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic contender, in a head-to-head matchup.

The New Jersey primary, which is currently set for Feb. 26, is likely to move up to Feb. 5, placing it early in the campaign season and increasing its significance.  As many as 15 states could hold their Republican presidential primaries Feb. 5, reports Gannett.

In all seriousness,

McCain is going to be anointed and presented by the GOP as the Candidate just like GWB was.

While it has been fun exposing St. Rudy as the leftist that he is...

McCain is going to get all the support along with the money from the GOP. He will be the #1 as far as the GOP is concerned.

Rudy cannot excite the Southern Red States. That is a fact. He will not get the vote in the South.

It will be McCain vs. Clinton in 2008. Get ready.

I will continue to support Hunter and see how he does in the next 6 months. Who knows...

I have to support a Conservative.

Secondly, no member of the House has been directly elected President since James Garfield in 1880. That's a huge burden of history.

No female has ever been elected president. No black person has ever been elected president.

And she looks FABULOUS!

She is a very nice lady; I have done some work with her in NC, even before she ran, with the Women's Club. You can always count on her.

Name the last mayor of a traditionally "liberal" City that was elected POTUS.

I think I know where you are at, we all would prefer a truly conservative candidate, but bottom line we don't want Hillary at any cost.

How is rudy any more for the troops than Hunter, who has military experience, and has a son who served in Iraq. Is Giuliani a verteran?

Sorry but that just does not matter in a president. If that was the case FDR should never have been president for 4 terms. He had no military experience. I would never have voted for Reagan because he had no combat experience because of bad eyesight. He was stationed in Hollywood. (not a bad gig for an actor). Also Bush had no combat experience so for that reason I should have voted for John Kerry. But of course I didn't and wouldn't.

Rudy is unique in having national visibility. His situation parallels Eisenhower in this level of visibility.

The Iowa caucus is January 14th. He has name recognition, the campaign infrastructure currently in the form of "winning the Future" and "AmericanSolutions", and long-term financial backing. If he gets in he'll hit the ground at full speed.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but the whole campaign is setting up perfectly for him and I'll think he'll run.

"No she is not, she has never gotten over 45% support in any rat poll. Remember they love electablity and they know that about 40% to 45% of people polled say they would never vote for her."

Remember that Bill won the White House with less than 50% of the vote. So, you can never tell.

Nice reply, see my TAGLINE. I readily admit that I have been dragged into the gutter here, I am better then that, I am trying really really hard to state my beliefs in a calm and mature manner, it isn't easy on Rudy threads, LOL!
I hope to get my ideas across with good humor, logic, and a few graphics that I will create to make a discussion point now and again. I have mostly confined my replies to those who share my views on the candidate of my choice.

Rudy is unique in having national visibility.

He'll play well in the Northeast. No one else is taking him seriously. He's just too liberal despite his cheerleaders trying to "moderate" him. His gun stance alone writes him off my books.
