Yes, Rudy Giuliani Is a Conservative
City Journal ^ | Jan.25, '07 | Steven Malanga

Personally, I prefer Tancredo although I admire "America's Mayor," and this article sheds some light on Rudy's little known conservative and courageous accomplishments.

Are you still looking for that post to prove I'm a Rudy supporter?

We're all waiting.

ROFLOL! Rudy will never get the Catholic vote? That is one of the funniest things I have seen posted on here yet.

You have to be kidding. Next you are going to be saying he is not going to get the Italian vote!

I believe Giuliani will say "what I promoted for NYC is not what I promote for the rest of America". I don't believe he will make it an issue. Nobody has made it an issue since it cost Al Gore the election in 2000. The Democrats aren't even pushing it now that they have control of Congress. They know its a losing issue.

I don't think it reflects that poorly. Hunter may just be idealistic about the money situation or may just be admitting he will never get $30k a plate.

Giuliani's dinner in Houston was $22,000 a plate IIRC.

Is Hunter bringing down this kinda money.

"Where I'm at here in NC nobody knows who he is."

Funny I am in NC and I heard of him.

I believe Giuliani will say "what I promoted for NYC is not what I promote for the rest of America".

Please ping me the instant he does (I'm serious). I would like to think at the very least that he can look at these issues a bit more seriously than he did in NYC. It's easy and a cop-out to target law abiding gun owners the way those lawsuits did.

I thought G. was getting $30k a plate? Is his support slipping?

It varies city to city and based on perks like photos with the candidate. I know, politics ...

Honestly, these people were NEVER EVER part of the GOP or Republican supporters at any step of the way. They aren't real true Republicans. Just hangers-on.

This is smoke and mirrors stuff, but look at the attention it gets them.

They are powerless to change things and it must be bitter as hell to swallow (again and again).

It might be wise to let Rudy speak for himself, rather than letting some poster make excuses for him. If Rudy does a Mitt, and dissembles and spins, well I guess that clears the deck of any GOP candidate that resonates with me. By the way, don't tell anyone, but Hillary was quite charming in her town hall meeting in Iowa, which I watched on C-SPAN. Her handlers are seemingly doing a good job in training her, and mitigating her squeaking chalk on the blackboard qualities.

Cannot even fathom donating that much! When I was first was told about it, I figured they had added a zero by mistake. I was wrong.

Hope they get served better then the rubber chicken you usually get. At the State Committee Meeting last spring they served something in the buffet line that I don't have a clue what it was and didn't eat it.

Boone Pickens was at one of our State GOP dinners this summer. Just a regular person when you talk to him. It was amazing -- no clue that he is worth a lot of money.

I'm not going to lie, his past gun stance is probably the hangup I do have. He really hasn't said alot lately but I'm eager to see what he does say on the issue. If he does make any comments, I'll be sure to ping you.

I can think of many words to describe her, but 'charming' isn't one of them.
