Many skeptics continue to question whether Rudy Giuliani is serious about making a run for the White House, but it was abundantly clear on Saturday that he had come to Manchester for more than the sub-freezing temperatures.
Addressing over 500 activists at the New Hampshire Republican Party's annual meeting as part of a two-day swing through the state, Giuliani sketched the broad outlines of what looks like a presidential run. Sounding at times like a motivational speaker, Giuliani cautioned against cynicism and pessimism in the wake of November's election results and challenges in the ongoing War on Terror. The message especially resonated with the audience in this critical primary state, where the Republican Party just lost control of both chambers of the legislature for the first time since the 1870s.
"The best way we remain safe and we retain our freedom...is remaining on offense, remaining strong and not becoming weak in a time of pressure," Giuliani said in a line that drew the biggest applause from the crowd at the Palace Theater.

The day is young and so far we got 'sick freak' and 'jerk'.
But its only the Rudy fans that abuse the site, hmmmm.
Nagin isn't qualified to be president. Does the fact Rudy is way better than Nagin make him qualified?
So Rudy didn't turn into Ray Nagin and actually did his job
Please show ONE THING that JimRob said that remotely inferred that Rudy could not be promoted on FR. He just ain't letting y'all have threads that are blocked from critical commentary about Rudy's liberal views. And he's calling some of your cohorts for engaging in blatant liberal attack methods against Rudy critics.
Claiming those who oppose Rudy are KKK members is the action of a sick freak.
If I get suspended for it, so be it. At least it's nothing like claiming the entire side of a debate is murdering racists.
I call them the way i see them. Psycho-freep is a jerk for making such a claim, pure & simple.
I said, "As far as I'm concerned, the real debate is over who would be the strongest CIC." I'm happy to hear a debate Duncan Hunter vs Guiliani vs Whoever on that basis.
I love the misplaced sanctimony.
We're talking about someone on your side who implied we were klansmen. And who posted a vile porn graphic.
In case it escapes you, when someone pulls a stunt like that on FR, the terms "sick freak" and "jerk" are not personal attacks, but accurate accessments.
Those were used in reference to a poster who posted the most vile, disgusting pornography imaginable and then implied other posters were members of the Klan.
He's building up the righteous indignation. It's about all they've got left.
To this:
You've undoubtedly seen the table I created which details Giuliani's positions compared to the Republican Party Platform. He is opposed to the majority of the platform, instead aligning with Hillary and the Dem platform.
And that's not even talking about specifically conservative values. Those are just the baseline, minimum values that are in the Republican Party platform. As conservatives, we have even stronger values and Giuliani is in opposition to nearly every one. Throwing in the towel over a year before the primary election even starts is total surrender. Yet, that is what you advocate simply because MSM opinion polls mean so much to you and your allegedly conservative values mean so little. We've got time to turn things around and put forward a more acceptable candidate, but that's not going to happen if people like you are so willing to throw in the towel now and start actually promoting the most liberal major Republican presidential candidate in history.
Maybe he can ask him the same question 15-20 times :>)
I didn't claim any such thing. If someone called me a KKK member I would just laugh it off because I know definitively that it its a specious argument about my true character, one would wonder why you are being so defensive about it.
I would like to see what is being called PORN I somehow missed that.
I'm impressed that Rudy is the only candidate who is fully backing the war in Iraq and has supported the President's surge. I've never heard Guiliani try to score a cheap point by bashing Bush. I'm also impressed with Guiliani's record as the Mayor of New York City.
Nonetheless, my vote is up for grabs. If I end up believing that Duncan Hunter or anyone else would be the strongest CIC, I would support him.
And when the Islamofascists win, the situation will be better because...?
Are you implying that Fierce Allegiance is a closet racist or KKK member now?
Here's a suggestion. If you want a substantive discussion, try starting one instead of playing games.
Two words:
Seminar. Poster.
Thanks for that, Jim. It feels like we're coming apart at the seams out here.
