Many skeptics continue to question whether Rudy Giuliani is serious about making a run for the White House, but it was abundantly clear on Saturday that he had come to Manchester for more than the sub-freezing temperatures.
Addressing over 500 activists at the New Hampshire Republican Party's annual meeting as part of a two-day swing through the state, Giuliani sketched the broad outlines of what looks like a presidential run. Sounding at times like a motivational speaker, Giuliani cautioned against cynicism and pessimism in the wake of November's election results and challenges in the ongoing War on Terror. The message especially resonated with the audience in this critical primary state, where the Republican Party just lost control of both chambers of the legislature for the first time since the 1870s.
"The best way we remain safe and we retain our freedom...is remaining on offense, remaining strong and not becoming weak in a time of pressure," Giuliani said in a line that drew the biggest applause from the crowd at the Palace Theater.

Well, things may go your way - or they may not :-)
I arrived late and made the 700th post on the thread! YEA!
Ding, ding ding!
Well, quite frankly that's your problem.
So you come back and talk about somebody else that posted from the 80's???
I don't know what you're talking about so I'll skip this.
I have said who knows how many times that Rudy is NOT a social conservative. Perhaps you've seen some of those posts? Tell me why you feel the need to point out that Rudy is NOT a social conservative?
Yes, I've seen your posts ad nauseum, but here's how it works.
I posted to someone else, you responded to my post to someone else and attacked it, I responded to you and on and on and here we are.
Maybe it would work better if you stop telling me what I already know, that Rudy's not a social conservative, and tell the other Rudy supporters because they keep saying otherwise.
Just click "My Comments" on your Freep page and it will show the comment you made about our "white robes" being in the laundry.
But I'm sure you remember slandering us in that way...
Ed
Same goes for you.
Thank you. I feel like a new man.
Yup, REEEELY Nasty. Foaming at the mouth nasty. Like the good old days.
This is good to see happen again. The forum is getting great attention over this Mayor from New York.
I see a problem from the fringe folks trying to dishonestly, dishonorably define Rudy - when he has not even declared he is running - let alone stated his positions!
Doesn't that bother you at all - like the incessant spams?
Or do you excuse whatever your side does - since you agree with them?
You didn't say - do you claim to be Chrsitian?
Actually, being accused of being a member of the KKK is the worst insult I've ever seen here against us.
I'm surprised the mods didn't pull it.
Ed
OOPS! I meant Cloak room.
The honor is fittingly yours once again!
Remember when Dog hit the coveted "Toaster" on the Saddam Hanging Thread? This one is in that class for sure....
You may be right about that. If it is so, I hope I see it.
Ed
Actually I am surprised they haven't pulled a lot of comments and let them stand but KKK sure hits at the top of my list as well! I don't see why you cannot debate a subject without getting nasty. Spirited debate yes but nasty? Not smart.
I remember that! I have seen Freepers wait to post to try and get the magic number and then miss it by someone who just came along and posted normally!
There is a reason that the dems took back the Congress and sheltering the fringe voters from dealing with the reality of diversity of opinion is not going to help things.
Btw, I am pro liberty, pro constitution, pro individual freedom, pro God, pro gun, pro free speech and pro live and let live.
I am opposed to socialism, marxism and fascism (whether from the left or right), extremism and fanaticism.
Looking at all the latest research, we have a need to get this government back again by '08. The principals matter most when we reelect conservative legislators. We are pretty much in a bad light since we have lost the support of independents/moderates.
The Media hasn't helped much either. But what are we to do if we chose a candidate that can't carry the centrist dominated electorate. It will be Barry Goldwater all over again.
At this juncture there are many candidates I could support and will support. I don't like Rudy because he does not advance conservatism, he sets it back an incalculable amount.
I see a problem from the fringe folks trying to dishonestly, dishonorably define Rudy - when he has not even declared he is running - let alone stated his positions!
The fringe on this forum is you. I have not made a single dishonest or distorted post regarding Guiliani. If he doesn't run I'll be happy, but he's stated his positions on most issues innumerable times. Does he get to take new positions when he declares?
Doesn't that bother you at all - like the incessant spams?
The truth doesn't bother me in the slightest. By spams do you mean the incessant postings of the same question like you do?
Or do you excuse whatever your side does - since you agree with them?
I could live without certain things, but my side has done nothing that hasn't been done ad infinitum by yours.
You didn't say - do you claim to be Chrsitian?
I've never "claimed to be anything and I don't know why you care, but I'm Catholic.
