Many skeptics continue to question whether Rudy Giuliani is serious about making a run for the White House, but it was abundantly clear on Saturday that he had come to Manchester for more than the sub-freezing temperatures.
Addressing over 500 activists at the New Hampshire Republican Party's annual meeting as part of a two-day swing through the state, Giuliani sketched the broad outlines of what looks like a presidential run. Sounding at times like a motivational speaker, Giuliani cautioned against cynicism and pessimism in the wake of November's election results and challenges in the ongoing War on Terror. The message especially resonated with the audience in this critical primary state, where the Republican Party just lost control of both chambers of the legislature for the first time since the 1870s.
"The best way we remain safe and we retain our freedom...is remaining on offense, remaining strong and not becoming weak in a time of pressure," Giuliani said in a line that drew the biggest applause from the crowd at the Palace Theater.

Of course we are. Great minds and all that(s)
If he's the best the Republican Party can do, then why don't we just vote in the entire Democrat Party Platform and replace the Republican Party Platform and get it over with?
Are you suggesting that you will not support anyone who has not foiled a terrorist plot?
There she is.... madame president and CIC. God forbid.
Isn't that the same tune you played several times last evening?
Good pic of Rudy and W. Who is the man on the right?
Anyone who has wanted to read your repetitive posts has done so by now. Get some new material!
At least you weren't called a filthy gay :)
But seriously, if they are this nasty now, I don't want to see them this time next year. Their name calling is an act of desperation, they know they are losing the facts war. Rudy is a conservative on fiscal, domestic, and foreign policy and a states righter on social issues that will appoint strict constructionist judges. He turned NYC from a bankrupt, crime ridden dump, into the thriving city it is today, he is very competent and would make a fantastic CiC. And did we mention he has the best chance of beating Hillary. These are facts and they know it but they just can't get past gays. For some reason they are more afraid of gays than terrorist and Hillary in charge of fight them.
If Condi was interested - a Rudy/ Rice or a Rice/Rudy ticket would be exciting. I think she is serious, though, when she says she is not interested.
Really? Show me where he has said - for years - that he is a "strict constructionist". And if you have a moment, while you're amassing the terrific number of statements, speeches, and quotes in which Giuliani has advocated "strict constructionist" jurisprudence, maybe you'll want to pound out an explanation as to how someone who is a "strict constructionist" can support Roe v. Wade.
Not so, new people click onto this site every day. They'll need to be informed. But thank you for your insightful post.
Meanwhile, Rudy defied a federal court order as Mayor regarding NYC's sanctuary policy. Some strict constructionist.
"Name ONE time Giuliani has foiled a terrorist plot or prevented any act of terrorism. My query to you - What has Giuliani EVER done to prove he is capable to lead the war on terrorism?"
What did Ronald Reagan ever do to prove he could handle the Cold War? What did Harry Truman, a man who never went to college, do to prove he could be President in WWII? Preventing terrorism is the job of the executive branch of the federal government.
Now if that picture won't unite us nothing will!
Wow! Maybe he should run for Mayor or Sheriff.
Unfortunately, it seems to be at the TOP of the least for my Italian friends. The other points on your list are their rationalizations for supporting an Italian who isn't a social conservative. When I asked if they would be supporting Rudy if he were Irish instead of Italian, they got kind of tongue tied.
