Amazon.com is taking pre-orders for Elliot Yamin's new album, coming out soon. (Sorry, I forget the exact date.) I'm looking forward to buying this one. Elliot had a splendid voice.
Mine too! I like the whole album, but that one is my favorite.
I read the whole 9 pages too! Good stuff.
"Suckjaya" LMAO!

Fan Excitement Builds for American Idol Finalist's April 17th CD Release
NASHVILLE, Tenn./PRNewswire/ -- Fan excitement is growing exponentially in the weeks leading up to the April 17th release of American Idol Season 5 finalist Bucky Covington's self-titled debut CD.
The video for his first single, "A Different World," debuted this week in the #1 position atop CMT's fan-voted CMT Pure Country video playlist. Additionally, the video debuted this week at an impressive #36 on Yahoo Music's all-genre video chart, putting Covington in the company of fellow American Idol alum Carrie Underwood as the only two country artists with videos in Yahoo's Top 50.
On-line fan support is also mounting on MySpace, where Covington's MySpace friends increased 19% following the premiere of his video on CMT, GAC, and Yahoo Music. Covington's was the second greatest increase of all country music artists for the week. Over at CMT.com, Covington ranks in the Top 25 artists, and is the only artist in the Top 50 who has yet to release a debut CD.
At radio, phone lines are lighting up at stations across the country and station message boards are buzzing everywhere - all with excited fan response to "A Different World." The single is one of the most requested songs at stations nationwide and had over 4 million audience impressions just this week.
Bucky Covington will be released on Lyric Street Records on April 17th, 2007.

The funny thing is that while AI has produced Carrie, Josh Gracin and Bucky, the first of the total AI rip offs, Nashville Star, has yet to produce a star. :)
You can like Taylor, and still admit that he isn't the recording artist Chris Daughtry is. Winning the show just means you won the show. There is no other conclusion that can be drawn from a victory. If Kelly or Carrie had come in 2nd, that wouldn't have made any difference as to whether they were the best recording artist-- just as Clay sold more than Ruben. They still would have sold a ton of albums. I promise that when Daughtry's album was released had nothing to do with the tremendous success of it.
Not really. The role of Effie is a plum role. Hell, that's half the battle to winning any acting award-- playing the part of a compelling character who is well-drawn by the playwright and who has great dramatic lines to say and (for musicals) a show-stopping song to sing. Hudson had nothing to do with any of that-- neither did Jennifer Holliday. Both were given this role and just asked to not screw it up, basically, to be known as being good in the role.
As far as winning top-of-the-food-chain awards, like Hudson and Holliday both did, you have to just act your heart out and milk those advantages given to you for all they are worth. It's similar to Forrest Gump. Some say that playing a retarded man is easy as pie-- well, that's not Tom Hanks' problem. He was given a role that was ready-made for accolades, as long as he didn't screw it up. And, bingo! Hanks wins the Oscar. That's just how things shake out.
Anti-American Idol Rally Planned
A group calling themselves Friends of Frenchie Davis will confront American Idol tomorrow and demand to know why Antonella Barba hasnt been booted off the show for risque photos of herself that hit the internet. During season 2 of the reality show, Frenchie Davis was fired after photos of her taken for an adult site were found.
A press conference will be held at 11am in front of the Kodak theater in Hollywood where the AI finale will take place in May.
Project Islamic Hopes Ali will be joined at the rally by season one Idol Producer Tarvenia Jones, Frenchie Davis (by phone), and Belinda Foster, manager of Frenchie Davis.
You misunderstood my point, which had nothing to do with Chris Daughtry, per se, but about the fact that
Taylor is the first winner whose CD was not the first one to be released. To observe that fact in no way expresses an opinion about either artist or their albums, neither of which I've purchased.
Same thing here as with the Hicks-Daughtry observation I made. To observe what, to me, seems an oddity in no way reflects on whether or not JH deserved her Oscar. I like her and am happy for her. But I don't watch the Oscars and haven't seen the film, so can't form my own opinion as to her performance.
ROFL!!! The soap opera known as American Idol rolls on. So what the heck is the Islamist crowd doing involved in this dust up? Maybe Frenchie is a Muslim??
I understand. I was just explaining to you what seems odd to many-- an unknown winning an Oscar. Hudson was given the perfect role to be one of those unknowns to win one.
Why do you suppose that is?
Thanks for the info on Bucky. He's always been one of my favorites of any AI season, since he seems so genuine and funny. (I also always liked George Huff for the same reasons).
In my excercise class, one of the songs we work out to is Taylor's single, "The Runaround". It's surprisingly good! All I've heard is how horrible his album is, but that song is awesome. I think I'll take a little shopping trip to Amazon...
I don't get it either. Considering that they think exposing an ankle is pornographic, I would think that they would want to stone all the infidel whores on AI.
There are 2 songs I don't care for (tracks 6 and 8, I can't remember what the names are), but the rest is very good.
I sure wouldn't think so! But, I am glad that someone is asking questions.
He's come a looonnnngggg way!
